Very tolerable for me. The cord is only 2 feet long and I would like it better if it was longer, especially since the excess stores in the base out of the way. The freezer bowl is not dishwasher safe, but the parts are so simple to clean I don't mind at all. After a quick wash I popped the freezer bowl in my freezer overnight. It's 6 inches tall by 7 in diameter, so it fit easily. The next afternoon I mixed 1 1/2 cups coconut cream with 1 1/2 cups heavy cream, 1/4 tsp salt, and 1/4 cup toasted shredded coconut in my blender and pulsed it a few times to break down the coconut a little bit. Then I took the bowl out of the freezer, placed it on the base, put the paddle in place, then the cover. I turned it on and poured my mix in through the top. 15 min later it was ready to transfer to a tub and into the freezer.Delicious. Very simple and quick. My next batch was vanilla from a creme anglaise base. It took longer to freeze, 30 minutes, and came out very smooth and creamy. Since then chocolate and strawberry.I'm very happy with the machine so far; quiet and quick. Easy to clean. I'm careful to use silicone or wooden spoons and paddles with the freezer bowl to avoid scratching it and it's holding up well.I haven't used it for ices yet but I don't think it will have any problem with them, the motor is powerful and the paddle seems strong enough. I'll try to remember to update when I do or if any trouble starts.*Thai basil and lime granita yesterday. YumThe machine took it to 95%done: it reached a point where there was a slush ball that rode the mixing paddle (without mixing) and an unfrozen sugar syrup filling the gap, so it was time to dump out into a shallow Pyrex dish to finish freezing. From there I just scraped servings from the top. Very nice on a sunny day.Oh, and I whirred some canned peaches in light syrup, straight out of the can, in the blender to break them down, then into the ice cream machine: Peach and Champagne floats on Easter. I love this machine.

This thing is GREAT!!! Used it for the first time this evening and was really impressed. Super simple to use, I used a FroYo mix and milk. If you follow the instructions, you will have a tasty frozen treat in less than 20 minutes. It's quiet and easy to clean. Takes about the same amount of space as a coffee maker and is not real heavy to move. The instructions come with a ton of recipes and I'm looking forward to trying them. I was also pleased with the amount of one batch: my husband and I each had a generous serving and there was a lot left for tomorrow night. I'm really glad I bought it.

5.0 out of 5 stars I like it!

This works surprisingly well. I'm not sure how it works with dairy products, but it does make a nice ice cream like product out of oat milk. If you're using plant-based milk, she definitely want to add some sort of a fat to it for more creaminess.

I love the size; it can be stored anywhere, easy to clean, versatile, affordable, and cute. I love it. I've had many ice cream makers, and this one is definitely my favorite! I always keep the bowl in the refrigerator so I can make ice cream whenever I want.

4.0 out of 5 stars So far, so good.

Update: I tried to use this ice cream maker a few days ago and it wouldn't freeze my recipe. Since other items in freezer were frozen, I assumed the freezer bowl had stopped working so I posted a negative portion to my review. When I buy a pound of bacon, I roll each slice like a jelly roll and freeze the rolls. They don't take up so much room that way and they thaw in a couple minutes. So I put a tray of rolled bacon in the freezer and it didn't freeze. True bacon has a high fat content but in a zero degrees freezer, the bacon should freeze. So on Bolo I hopped and bought two fridg/freezer thermometers to check the temp in my freezer. I wanted two so that if they were near the same temp then I'd feel they were working okay (then I'd have one for the fridge). I bought these: Bolo.com/gp/product/B071F5MD27/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I don't know why this doesn't appear as a link like they usually do but the item # is B071F5MD27Turns out my freezer had warmed up to 21 degrees according to one themometer and 22 to the other (I can live with a one degree difference since it isn't possible to put both thermometers in the same exact location in freezer). The story continues but I won't bore you all with additional details but once properly frozen the ice cream maker bowl did work (I made a bowl while ago). So I deleted that negative portion of my review and now assure readers that I'm back to supporting my original review below. Should I actually have any additional problems with this maker, I'll come back. I do recommend checking temps in freezers/fridgs since had I not put the bacon in the freezer, frozen food would have stayed frozen but the freezer wasn't cold enough to freeze certain items like bacon or this ice cream maker bowl.Original review: I've owned this Cuisinart ICE-21PK Frozen-Yogurt, Ice Cream maker long enough to have made a half dozen quarts of ice cream. Since I'm the only person eating it, that is a lot of ice cream, I'm thinking!! There is a lot to like about this little freezer and topping that list is that I know what is going into the ice cream. And even using quality ingredients, it is cost efficient especially since I bought organic ice cream which is a lot more than regular ice cream. I've made vanilla, strawberry, chocolate and various fruit ice creams using the recipe book that comes with the freezer. For the fruit ice creams, I simply add a berry mix (for example) in the same amount as strawberries are called for in that ice cream recipe. So far, all have turned out firmly frozen and they stayed frozen until eaten but not so hard frozen one has to chisel it out of the container!I already owned the Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream book and the only difference in the basic recipes for the ice cream maker is that Ben & Jerry's calls for whole eggs and the Cuisinart recipes do not. I looked up a peach ice cream recipe on-line and that recipe called for two egg yolks. I intend to add eggs to the next batch and if they make a great difference I'll post about that later but I imagine the eggs just add extra texture but can be left out if one has qualms about eating raw egg. All my ice creams have been super great without the egg. Keep in mind however that most bacteria, etc. will not survive freezing.I purchased the smaller quart & a half size since that makes 5 cups which will last me for a few days. I also wanted the pink freezer since it looks like ice cream! The round circular part seen in the photo has to be frozen for 24 hours before use so if one does not have a freezer, one will need to set aside that much space in their refrigerator freezer for that period. I have an upright freezer so as soon as I clean mine up from freezing a batch, I just put it back in the freezer and it stays there until I use it again. Clean-up is a breeze. Instructions for use are well explained and are simple. Two minutes and the ice cream is churning away. Mine usually freezes in 15 minutes. This is a great little ice cream maker and I'm so glad to own it. I love the ice cream I make especially since I know it is healthy, at least for a sugared item :))

This works so well!! As long as I follow the directions correctly it works perfectly! I did have to put the base in my deep freeze to get it to work properly. The setting on my kitchen freezer want cold enough. I love the consistency and the taste! Perfect!!

Very simple to use with minimal clean-up

Soooooo CUTE! This makes way too much icecream for just myself and my daughter but we are newbies to the artisanal icecream world. We assembled the freezing cold inner tube thing with the lid and the churned, Pulled a can of coconut milk from the fridge and shook it up, added a splash of vanilla, a pinch of salt and some maple syrip, and 10 minutes later we had delicious homemade icecream. Honestly this is a dream - I’m looking forward to trying new recipes and having a healthier special treat while making memories with my LO.In terms of cleaning since there are only 4 parts to the whole unit it’s quite simple. I was able to rinse and wash the paddle immediately and let the inner tube soak, but in hindsight I could have boiled water to just get it over with lol. Anyway it’s a nice treat and I will consider getting an official “spare icecream” tub rather than our empty Yogurt container 😅.

A great addition to our kitchen

it is built well and functions as expected, plus I mean the colour, who doesn't love hot pink. If this one ever breaks I would happily purchase again. We even use the frozen base to store drinks in for events by freezing it and filling it with ice because it stays cool for so long.

Worked Ok the One Time I Use It

Know how sometimes you really want something and think you’ll use it all time and then you pull the trigger and buy it ... and end up using it once?Yeah, this. That part is on me. Part of the neglect of use is that the bowl takes up a lot of room in my freezer. Part of it is that I was pretty unimpressed with the coconut milk ice cream. It was super hard and icy. Was hoping to save money over buying pricy non-dairy frozen treats. Lol, joke’s on me.
