I don't even go to the instructions when I run up on confusion (I FaceTime my Dad). I've replaced so many light fixtures, so many wall outlets, but this was my first switch. 1980s, at that. I was not prepared; I understand why licensed electricians make bank lol. Anyway, after FaceTime with my Dad, I pulled out the instructions sheet and unfolded it. Let me just say that, after that, I was embarrassed I didn't go to the instruction sheet first and that way I could have acted to my Dad later like I never got anxious, never panicked, and the install was a breeze. Because, with these VERY DETAILED instructions... they had to have been written by an overthinker with anxiety because, I'm only slightly kidding when I say I need instructions for the rest of my life written out by the one who wrote out these instructions. I'm surprised there wasn't a note under #2 that said "Relax. It's normal for there to be that much dust in the wall. You can vacuum it before you put the plate back on." or something.Oh, yeah, the switch works. I've programmed it to come turn on my overhead light with 4 75watt bulbs early in the mornings so I'll have no choice but to get my warm and toasty tail out of bed if I want the lights back off. (Seasonal depression is going hard this wild, cold winter!!)I'll update if anything goes amiss in the function of this switch. Buy it because you need it; buy it because the instructions are 10 out of 5 stars; buy it because it's one of the more affordable options.

I never thought I'd write a review for a programmable switch, but felt I had to. This was replacing an existing programable switch that I hated, was very hard to program without a manual, and was totally unreliable. This new switch installed in minutes, looks great and is SO easy to program! I had it installed in just a few minutes and it takes not time to program. The instruction are very clear (although you can do it without them)!

Really pleased with this timer. I replaced the other type of wall timer because it failed and it was so complicated to set times. I’ve been using this one a couple of weeks and it has been great. I installed it myself with the help of the video and instructions, I had absolutely no problem. I recommend this wall timer.

First off, I’m an electrician, I’ve put in hundreds of digital timers in my 30 year career. This one is very simple and intuitive for a homeowner/ DIY, installer. Be mindful, this one requires a neutral connection, and a ground, in you romex states, so in older junction boxes, make sure you have both. The “farmers neutral “, is not going to do it. The programming on this timer is as easy as can be, you simply select an on time, and confirm, and an off time, and do the same, that’s it. It doesn’t have a daylight savings time adjustment, but that’s its only downside as far as I’m concerned. If you tape your devices make sure you don’t tape over the vents on this device it needs to breathe.
