He opened it on his Birthday and started to pretend to eat it right away lol the play food looks so real and is made or solid material you don't have to worry about water getting inside or mold on the inside like some other play food brands that are hollow on the inside.

I bought this because my son wanted a grill like his dad for Christmas and this pack had ribs lol🤦🏾♀️ I literally bought it just for the ribs lol 🤷🏾♀️ but I have also purchased Melissa and Doug products before and I absolutely loved them so this was a no brainer! Sturdy and fun!

We LOVE the little menu that come with this set. The menu was the selling point for me. Also, the menu is melade of a vinyl, so it will not wear out like a cardboard one would. Check off what you want to "order" off of the menu, then your little one can assemble the combo meal, as you ordered it (or their friends- whomever is playing along). So cute!!

We have the red and blue sets of Melissa and Doug play food and though pricy are the best available . The kids age 14 mos.,3 years and 6 years all enjoy playing with it.

I grew up with fisher price kitchen play food in the 1980-1990s and loved them, so wanted to replicate what I had for our children. This is pretty close to the quality I remember. Very durable plastic, more realistic compared to some other brands and our 16 month old is playing with them just fine. Other play food brands are sometimes 'miniaturized' versions of food items....that is not what I wanted. This set is pretty close to actual food size. Our five year old is reading the menu (learned a new word 'segmented orange' today) as we go through the items to order. It is pricey for a set of play food but I remember that in the 1980s-1990s, fisher price play food was also just as pricey because my parents commented on how the sets were expensive too. I will be keeping this set for life to have toys around when people with young kids visit. My parents kept my play food sets and our kids play with them when they visit. These will last a lifetime.

The price is steep but the play food is such great quality, I’d buy this again in a second.
