These pillows work great at keeping my husband's 1 lb bag of pipe tobacco nice and moist for a month. I use heavy duty tape and tape it inside the bag at the top. I heard they are reusable too. When they dry out, resoak them in distilled water. Great product! Very happy. :)

I have a fairly large and valuable (over $50K) collection of old and new musical instruments. I put one (or two) of the pillows in every case and have never had a problem with drying or cracking of the wood, even in winter, when the humidity in the house drops below 20%. I use water from our own dug well and haven't ever had a problem with the sacs disintegrating. When they have become totally dry I find that placing them in very hot water revives them perfectly. For $9 for 10 (or $16 for 25) you can't go wrong.I don't often write reviews but at this time of the year I am particularly grateful for these things.

Caveat, I live in Colorado, where it's 20-50% ambient humidity throughout most of the year but, I've been using these water pillows for about 10 years. I've never had a problem with mold or too much humidity.

I have a small box shaped humidor.Whether I put 2, 3, 4, and now FIVE of these in there (activated, per instructions), I'm not getting any reading change on my built in humidistat.The humidistat appears to work fine because it does increase when I manually condition the wood inside, so I don't know what's up with these but they don't work for me.

These things are awesome! They are reusable, you can use them in humor or to travel and use can activate them with distilled water or better yet propylene glycol

I have given up on the green foam style and the hiTech metal ones work well but it is not obvious when they need to be refilled. These, however, present no such problem: touch a pillow with your fingers to determine if it needs recharging. And they last more than a few recharges (using distilled water of course). I recommend these for cigar lovers who do not have electronic humidifiers.
