Very versatile and has a lot of freedom in being able to custom the game you want with your favorite cards.Simple base system for beginners and with each expansion pack it adds a new optional gameplay mode! You can play the same way or you can change game modes, you can do versus with friends, or fight against the campaign, or team up with friends against other friends or co-op in the campaign story. There's so much to enjoy here, and the best part is that you could just buy any of the base sets and still just enjoy that without needing to get any other expansions.Will be playing this with my groups of friends for many years to come. Looking forward to the new Dark Nights: Metal expansion coming this year (2020) too! Also shows there's a lot of support from the creators and fans along the years. Hope they keep adding more expansions and base sets etc.!

My coworkers and I play card games at least a couple of times a week over our lunch break and for the past few months it has been almost entirely DC Deck Building game. We've played both the original and Heroes Unite extensively but we've been having even more fun with the Forever Evil version. I'm a big fan of how much they've improved player interaction; preventing a game of silently taking turns that don't effect each other. There are many more attacks and defenses as well as other non-attack interactions possible than previous editions.My only complaint would be in how unbalanced the super villains can be (you play as the super villains in this one). About half of the playable super villains are extremely powerful while the other half tend to be very weak or at least extremely situational.Despite my minor complaints, we are still having a blast playing this game. Ironically, some of the most enjoyable rounds I've played were ones in which I didn't even win. We're definitely looking forward to the next release (teen titans I believe). I recommend not hesitating if you're on the fence with this one.

Great version, revolves around destroying cards so getting rid of your starters is easier than ever. Don't get attached to your better cards either as they'll probably get destroyed as well. The Super Villian character cards are okay. There are some clearly better-designed ones but most of them are passable. Make sure you segregate your destroyed cards into their respective types as it'll make counting for certain other cards easier as the game progresses. Overall a solid edition and a great jumping-in point.

I've noticed that this game in particular is a little too complicated for some of my friends who like to play. They are not fans of the Victory Points, or VP, being separated into the little coins.I would love to see some sort of virtual version of DC deck building, so that little pieces like that just don't matter and they're easier to sort.I DO love that you are able to play as villains in this game, and sometimes my boyfriend and I mix it with the original game so that it's more challenging and takes longer to play.I'm not sure what I'm really trying to say, except that this game is awesome! Just not for everyone.

If you have played the DC Deck building game then you know exactly what you are getting here. This game can be played as a stand alone game or mixed with other sets. The biggest difference here (other than the obvious one of playing villains and fighting heroes) is that many of the cards to have "attack" features, so you will be going after other players. Therefore, one on one this may not be as fun (as you always have to attack one specific person) as it would be if you had at least three people (so you can choose who to attack). Sacrificing cards for victory points and to strengthen the trash pile is also of importance to this game (as some cards get more powerful the more cards you have in the trash, for instance, +1power for every hero in the trash). Overall a solid game that is fun for three people or more on it's own or a great addition to the other DC Deck builder game sets.

Based on the comic event of the same name, “Forever Evil” takes an already-brilliant game and gives it still more depth. This time out, the emphasis is on destroying cards in order to gain victory points, which can also be stolen by the rival players and the string of heroes that it is necessary to defeat in order to win the game. This is familiar enough that DC Deck-Building players will be able to dive into it right away, and yet also adds enough of a twist to keep things fresh and interesting. We have already gotten a lot of replayability value out of “Forever Evil” and it shows no signs of getting stale any time soon. Highly recommended.

But this can be used as a base game. You're a villain so you attack other players and destroy cards a lot more. It's a fun different way to play the same game.

This game version is focused on you being the villains and taking out the heroes, all the cards are new in design and most of them are even new in gameplay.+ : - new design- some new game mechanics where you can steal victory points- more competitive-Bigger point variation and requirements to beat the Master Hero cards- : the master Heros that you have to beat have mostly the same power, just seemed lazy and disappointingOverall the game is cool and worth the purchase if you are a fan of the series and previous games.The Shop and Delivery were fast and efficient. Arrived 1 day earlier the estimated.
