I needed a hoodie to keep me warm in these cool southern Cal coastal winds. My current hoodie is mostly synthetic materials and not very warm. This one has more natural materials (cotton) and is a little thicker. I have other Hanes fabrics and they are made with good quality. This hoodie does not disappoint. It won't keep you warm in a blizzard, but it does well in shielding from the cool breezes and retains your heat. The size Large is a good fit and big enough for free movement without being bulky.Update: As others have commented, the hand pockets are on the small side. They will keep your hands warm but don't offer extra deep pockets.

I needed to replace my lightweight all-cotton hoodie after the sleeves became frayed from heavy use. I first bought a Fruit-of-the-loom hoodie which was 60 % and 40% polyester. It was soft, lightweight and looked great but provided very little warmth. It also didn't do a good job of wicking away moisture when I wore it for a jog.I next bought the Hanes Ultimate Hoodie, which is also a single-layer hoodie, but contains 85-90% cotton. The cloth is also thicker than the Fruit-of-the-Loom hoodie, so the Hanes hoodie did provide the warmth I wanted. As a single-layer hoodie, I still consider this to be a light-weight hoodie, but if you live in California or another warm-climate state, you might consider this to be medium-weight.Now for the fit. I am 5'6" and weight 158 lbs. so I bought a medium size hoodie. The Hoodie comes oversized to allow for shrinking, so I didn't panic when I took it out of the package and found it looked too big. After washing it and shrinking it in the dryer, it fit perfect. Some of the reviewers noted that the zipper doesn't lie completely flat after washing. Yes, that's sort-of true, but the effect is minimal. Another review complained that the material felt rough. Yes, that's only true if you compare it to all-polyester hoodies. The hoodie is made out of cotton and cotton always feels a little rougher than polyester. However, it was just as soft as my cotton sox. My only real complaint is the size of the pockets. The pockets are small. Even if I make a fist, my hands barely fit in the pockets.

I’ve been a fan of the Hanes Ultimate Full-Zip Hoodie for years and recently picked up another one. Overall, I still really love this hoodie! The fit is perfect for me, and it's super comfortable. I wear it all the time, whether for lounging at home or running errands, and it’s versatile enough to pair with anything.However, I’ve noticed that the material isn't quite the same as it was when I bought one about 4 years ago. Back then, the fleece felt a bit thicker and more plush, which I really loved for warmth and softness. The newer version feels a little lighter and not as thick as before, which is fine for milder weather, but it's not quite as cozy as my old one.That said, the quality is still good, and it’s still an excellent hoodie for the price. I just hope Hanes brings back that thicker fleece feel from the past in future releases. Despite the change in material, I’d still recommend it for anyone looking for a comfortable, reliable hoodie!

Good heavy material, and sturdy zipper, bright color and minimal color bleed in the first wash.After the first cold water wash and line dried the body of the hoodie shrank in length, tried stretching but to no avail. Likely too short when winter rolls around. Cheap but wouldnt buy again.

Loving this hoodie !! Blanket weight interior is just thick enough, and comfortable. I ordered a XXL, great fit, just loose enough for plenty of movement.
Excellent Hoodie, fits larger
This is an excellent hoodie, well made, not cheap, good stitching. Only thing is they fit much larger than one would think for the sizing. At 6-2 270 the 3XL saw GIANT on the chest and shoulders. 2XL still very large in chest, waist and length, I have a Large coming today, fingers crossed it will fit right.But worth the money.

I bought this in April 2023 and it was definitely not £29, I can't find it exactly but I think it was £10-15 as I was happy with how inexpensive it was, and probably wouldn't have bought it for more. However if you don't mind spending a bit more, I would recommend this, it's so soft and comfortable, and also good quality, I wear it a lot and it's been through the wash a lot and is still in perfect condition. I am a woman size S/M so bought S as men's sizes are bigger, and it's perfect, slightly baggy which I like and the sleeves are also long so it feels extra comfy. Probably my favourite hoodie I've ever owned
