I love this stuff. I never seem to get tired of it. Unlike some other ramens, the flavor of Nissin Top Ramen Chili Flavor is wonderful when made according to the directions - not overly salty and it doesn't taste like it's flavored with nothing but straight chili powder, because it isn't - and it's easy to improve upon it still further (because it's ramen, which is easy to do almost anything with). It's also entirely vegetarian (vegan, even!), unlike some other chili and Oriental flavor ramens on the market.The people saying they can get this stuff cheaper elsewhere likely haven't noticed and don't care that the cheaper ones they've found are of another brand, without Nissin's reputation for quality, and they're not vegetarian.I often do simply make it according to the directions (though the noodles are only in the water for a total of about 2-1/2 minutes because I like them much firmer than they come out when cooked according to the instructions) and I much enjoy it this way; other times, when I want more of a kick, I'll add more crushed red pepper, which I like the flavor of a lot, and if I'm wanting it still more spicy, I might add some diced jalapeños and maybe a little cayenne. I like to add veggies to it as well to give it a little more color, flavor, and nutritional value.In short, I highly recommend this ramen, especially if you're a vegetarian (who likes spicy things). Enjoy!

But sodium is high, which is common for instant noodles. I use about 2/3 of a flavor packet or as much as 1 full packet with 2 packs of noodles, then throw in some of my own seasonings so I still have a lot of flavor but without so much sodium. Just FYI, Maruchan's chili flavor isn't even vegetarian. Contains beef extract. Anyone trying to avoid animal products should get this one.

I love the flavoring. Sometimes I add a teaspoon of tomato paste and a few pepper flakes.College days go bye hooked and a must have. When you don’t feel like cooking, it’s an easy go to and ride any hunger pains.I have a 6 yr old granddaughter who asks her Mom for her grandmother’s noodles.So yummm😋

Most ramen contains some sort of meat product, but this one doesn’t! I like to add some tofu and broccoli to make it healthier, plus cholula to give it an extra kick. Protip: if you are using the noodles for a recipe and don’t want to use the seasoning, it’s great sprinkled on some steamed edamame.

First of all, let me just say that it's very hard to find instant noodles that are vegetarian let alone have a decent flavor. I was looking forward to trying these noodles because it's chili flavor but man the flavor isn't even there. It's basically like adding chili powder to water and drinking that but not having any flavor to it. I tried adding other spices to improve its flavor. And trust me, as an Indian, I have extensive option of spices to add from my pantry but nothing worked. I would highly recommend Nongshim Soon Veggie Noodle Soup over this any day.

It is really hard to find cheap vegetarian ramen. This vegetarian Nissin Chili flavor ramen is a great base soup that you can use in constructing a fun ramen soup full of other added ingredients. I usually add at least some frozen vegetables (e.g. peas, edamame, corn and/or spinach) to the cooking ramen to liven it up (see pictures). Sometimes I'll add extra chili powder or even a teaspoon of spicy Korean gochujang to the ramen. Other times I'll add some kimchi (second picture). I usually stir in a teaspoon of miso paste (to add more depth of flavor) after the ramen is done cooking. I make a lot of different, quick and interesting ramen bowls using this base of Nissin chili instant ramen soup. The chili powder packet that comes with each ramen package blends in well with the added ingredients.
