About this item:
PowerStop is on a mission to deliver an easy way for any driver to upgrade their brakes - no matter where or how they use their vehicle. Our Z36 Truck & Tow Brake Upgrade Kit is recommended for trucks, 4x4s, and SUVs that not only work hard, but play hard as well. This brake pad and rotor kit comes with everything you need, including premium stainless-steel hardware, for an easy, bolt-on installation. The low-dust Ceramic brake pads are reinforced with Carbon-Fiber to provide severe-duty stopping power without sacrificing everyday drivability. These pads are paired with Drilled & Slotted rotors that keep brake temperatures down by maximizing heat dissipation, critical for those long mountain descents. Whether towing a boat or trailer, hauling for the jobsite, or tackling a tough off-road trail, get the easy and affordable, bolt-on performance upgrade with the Z36 Truck & Tow Brake Upgrade Kit.
This kit fits:

5.0 out of 5 stars Additional bite when braking
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } Just did this install yesterday before Father’s Day. We had a road trip about 75 miles away and the most noticeable distance is I feel there’s less drag. After four years in the northeast the rust on the breaking components, probably provide some drag to the drivetrain. With that said I find breaking is smooth and at a certain point in the pedal, you can definitely feel the additional bite this kit provides over the stock brakes. I followed the break in procedure too.Recommended
5.0 out of 5 stars Best brakes I've ever installed
I will be putting Powerstop break kits on all of my vehicles from this point forward. No brake dust, no noise, they fit perfect, perform way better than OEM, and look great. I will definitely be ordering these again.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great product!!!
Absolutely love these. I put them on my 2011 Sequoia and they fit and work perfect. I found that Toyota dealership messed up the piston seals on the calipers, so I’ll be replacing those as well with the powerstop calipers. I also will replace the rear brakes with powerstop rotors, pads and new calipers. Highly recommend.
5.0 out of 5 stars 60k Miles!! Love them
My OEM brakes on my 2016 Tundra failed at 30,500 miles. I was not happy. I took the leap and got these brakes and they lasted 60k miles, of which 40k was with 35" tires.I just hit 91k and replaced them with the same set. My original Powerstop brakes didn't have alow pad indicator, the new ones do.I wish the kit contained the pins, mine were fairly corroded so I replaced them. Installation was straight forward.Highly recommended!!
5.0 out of 5 stars Proper break-in is absolutely NECESSARY
I installed these pads and rotors on my truck and they work fine without the noise/squeaking that some people talk about on Bolo or elsewhere.PowerStop has a unique break-in (bedding) procedure that has to be followed to a T to avoid the annoying "problems" that arise because the pads are carbon fiber ceramic and the rotors are drilled, slotted and zinc plated.STEPS: 5 moderate to aggressive stops from 40 mph down to 10 mph in rapid succession followed by 5 moderate stops from 35 mph to 5 mph in rapid succession WITHOUT COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP. If done properly, you NEED to be able to smell some of that classic odor with your windows down as the brakes get hot. Once the brakes get hot like this, you MUST drive around continuously for above 5 minutes at a decent speed WITHOUT coming to a complete stop to allow for the brakes cool back down to a normal temperature. This entire process allows for an even coating of brake material on the rotors to minimize juddering/vibrations.I thought this was crazy, but I managed to find a quiet industrial road to do this and I don't regret taking the 10 minutes to properly break in the brakes.
4.0 out of 5 stars after that everything was fine and they provide decently good braking
I previously had EBC yellow stuff on my Tundra 4x4 5.7 Crewmax. These don't have as much bite, however the Yellowstuff definitely chewed in to the rotors, these do not. After the break in I had to pull the pads back off there was a lot of noise metal shavings everywhere. I noticed a lot of metal imbedded in the pads from the rotor. It appears that the rotors weren't finished well after they were drilled and slotted, the pads were literally shaving the high/sharp edges on the rotor.I had to sand to smooth the scared pads and rotated the pads around, after that everything was fine and they provide decently good braking.
5.0 out of 5 stars Not happy with stock brake stopping distance? Try these brakes.
I first purchased Powerstop brakes for my Jeep Wrangler in 2014 and loved the performance of these brakes. The stopping power is very noticeable as long as the break in procedure is followed. Fast forward to today, I recently swapped out the brakes on my 2019 Toyota Tundra, the from the factory they were supposed to be very good using four piston calipers up front. I have never been a big fan of the stock brakes and stopping distance, I do realize that this is a very heavy truck but after installing Powerstop brakes, I noticed a big difference in stopping power and a decreased stopping distance. I am a big fan of these brakes a definitely will purchase for my vehicles in the future! Also these brakes for me were much more cost effective, a big box parts store using their brand pads and rotors would have cost $387. I purchased the front brake set for $260 from Bolo.
1.0 out of 5 stars Warping Issues
I purchased this rotor and pad set back in Dec. 2023... I knew it would be getting close to the time to change the original ones on my 2016 Toyota Tundra knowing I drive a lot so I went with drilled and slotted rotors thinking they may be better for all the driving I do. I changed everything (Rotors and Pads) the first of March by the middle of April they were warped so bad I started using my gears to slow down before applying the brakes if I were to hit them from speed they would shake the steering wheel (indication of warped front rotors) and the truck would shake pretty aggressively (I wouldn't say violently, however close) So I went to the Toyota dealer and purchased O.E. Rotors (For less than I paid for these) and installed them and haven't had a problem. My 5-Star for installation, is due to brakes are basically simple and these were no more difficult than any other front disc brake system to install. I was very disappointed in this product and wouldn't buy them again.
Very impressed

Supersedes OEM BRAKES !
Had these installed on my other Tundra as well , awesome braking , better than OEM
Work well with small adjustment
Pads needed some filing to better adjust fit within caliper to prevent brake squeal. Easy to do.
Piece manquante.
