The base seems to be narrower than the top. The lid is top heavy lid, which causes the container to tip over every time I go to dispose of needles. I should’ve never bought this. I should’ve just stayed with the old design.The quality seems OK no big deal there. It seems dirty except for the tipping over problem. He’s got capacity for a lot of needles. It’s a good size. It’s functional. The price was ok.

These are my go-to containers for my empty injectable pens. They actually hold quite a bit and are slim enough to fit on one of my narrow bathroom shelves. They are sturdy and secure. Once you drop in your sharp, it pops back up into place, so I think that's a pretty good safety feature because nothing is going to just fall out. Very easy to open/use. It's kind of like post office boxes where the receptacle door tilts so you can make a drop and then it tilts back up into place (closing).

It took me about 7 months of weekly injections with a large auto-injection pen to fill one container, so I just locked it up and pulled out my second one. Over the course of that time, I did drop a few other small sharps in the container, but they literally fell through the cracks.I love the easy-to-use mail-drop opening of the container, and the flap doubles as container-full indicator (but don’t be afraid to give it a little shake to settle the contents every now and again). One of the locks was a little stubborn, but once they were both latched, the lid was secure for transport.
