Oh, and the scent is very earthy and nice - not overbearing.I love NOW brand supplements, this is the first beauty product I've tried and I am super thrilled! Will be buying again soon!

I was looking for a non toxic shaving cream, I love the now brand oils and thought this would be a good product to try because I’m familiar with the brand although I wasn’t expecting much from it, but it really surprised me how well this stuff works! A little goes a long way and it leaves my skin feeling moisturized!

If you're used to the foamy stuff from the can, you're in for a surprise with this. NOW Foods Natural Shave Cream is a medium consistency, sort of liquidy cream that you smooth onto your skin. It's thick and goes on almost opaque, so you know what areas are covered. The scent is delicious - a fresh, light, citrus scent. Kind of wish I could get a body wash or soap version of this scent!This cream makes it easy for my razor to glide smoothly and cleanly on my skin, with zero nicks. Rinses clean and easily with no residue. Wonderful stuff, definitely worked way better than I expected. After the shave, my skin feels soft, moisturized and very smooth. I used it on my underarms and legs, works great on both areas. I absolutely love it and will never go back to the chemical foam stuff!

I absolutely love the scent: it's soft and fresh, and reminds me of Origin's "A Perfect World" line. The cream is very smooth on your skin, but a bit runny. It's easy to put a thin coat on your legs, but better to do when the water isn't running because it will easily wash off. Unfortunately, I stopped using this cream because it always clogged up my safety razor. Usually I can just rinse my razor and blade, but while using this shave cream, I always had to brush down the safety razor after each use. This product may not bother people that use disposable razors, but it increased my time in the bathroom because of how it stuck to my razor.

I was looking for a substitute shaving cream for the kiss my face, which is out of stock and priced way too high these days. The Now shave cream is a great substitute. Although the texture is not too thick and exactly the same as the kiss my face, it doesn't clog your razor and the glide is smooth. The price is fine, and it seems to leave the skin softer and more moisturized. This shave cream isn't watery, and it doesn't stick to the razor like alba. I prefer natural based products so those are the only two I can compare to. The price is good at the time of this review, and I think I will use this cream as an alternative to kiss my face. I am leery of companies using the term natural in their descriptions, as it seems that there have been frivolous lawsuits against companies claiming their products to be natural which seems to have a negative impact on small businesses, and has affected supplies of some of my favorite brands. Oh and it smells like orange candy, in a good way. Doesn't linger on you.

This shaving cream was okay.It's hard to describe the consistency. It's not a thick cream at all, and while it doesn't really feel oily, it reminds me of products I've used in the past called "oil creams". It provides a good amount of slip for shaving. If you are looking for something that really lathers into a nice foam, this is not it. However, if you are accustomed to shaving with products that are more of a non-lathering lotion and that go on clear (or nearly clear), then you'll probably be okay with the consistency.What you probably won't like is the aroma. I wouldn't say it is bad, but I definitely would not have chosen this scent profile. I believe the problem is calendula, which can be a very divisive scent. To make matters worse, it seems they tried to mask it with a citrus-y orange scent that reminds me of cough syrup.While it is not completely off-putting and while I also admire their attempt to keep this product kind of "natural," I wouldn't buy this again. I would probably use it if I got it as a gift or at a massive price-cut, but with plenty of other options on the market, I'll be using something else.
