Lathered excellently.The smell is neutral. If you smell it right from the box it smells like the box.I washed my hands with it and rinsed and dried my hands. I was working with my oils today.So my hands are not dried out at all.I tend to moisturize my hands daily.I bought this soap to make liquid soap like I readFor another Castile type made from coconut oil.I will see how it works.The bar is a nice size it’s even thicker then otherBar soaps I bought today.My skin feel soft no tightness.I will be adding this to making a triple batch soap. I think that is what it is called.

I use this stuff on my hands, body, and even to wash dishes and laundry with. I grate it up into a fine powder for the latter two. I have MCAS and I'm allergic to anything derived from citrus, coconut, and soap nuts. This stuff is the only safe and affordable soap I've found that doesn't make my skin feel like it's on fire. Gonna stock up like crazy! The bar lasts a long time, too.

Con respecto a su peculiar olor, recuerda que ya estamos tan mal acostumbrados a los olores excesivos y artificiales de los jabones comerciales y llenos de quimicos, que nos es difícil aceptar un jabón con el olor normal de sus ingredientes. Huelen un poco raro (como a humo), pero nada a lo que después de un tiempo no te acostumbres. Además, la piel se siente muy bien y por el precio y los pocos ingredientes limpios (al parecer) que tienen; está super bien.

I've heard of the brand so figured I'd give it a try. I am in no way a soap purist but, well, maybe now I realize I am.FYI seller made it non-returnable. And Bolo wouldn't give me a stupid $6 credit.It's "OLIVE OIL" soap, and it is green as advertised.Size as advertised. 2 of the 3 bars were broken. (I thought, so what, its soap. Still.)BUT the other ingredients come before the *olive oil* (based on product ingredients list).WEIRDEST white film on certain parts of the soap...don't have a clue what it is. Not powder, almost like a mold, but not. If anything the weird white powder splotches tell me the product was stored improperly, and for quite a while. Even the packaging was not up to snuff.Soap bar (dry, I didn't wet it) is very dry (in texture...its strange to hold a bar of dry-feeling soap).Smells like a dirty, slightly polluted beach. Is this because salt is an ingredient? Or because they use less than quality olive oil? Or? (Salt is actually a common, perfectly acceptable ingredient for soap, homemade or not, but based on the salty-dirty-beach smell, there must be a bunch of salt in it, so I asked myself rhetorically - how can that possibly be moisturizing?)Nowhere near a decent olive oil soap. (I purchased this brand only because several of the REAL olive oil soaps I usually buy on Bolo, pure with laurel/bay leaf oil, made outside of the U.S., were unavailable.)Tip: if you want the real deal olive oil soap it is worth spending a little extra on the middle eastern/greek region soaps as they are hand made and cut, and one bar lasts one person's body a good 3 months because they're incredibly dense. Sure, two bars may be $12, but yeah that will last you 4-6 months. And man, those soaps are TO DIE FOR! And those soaps are SO dense that there is no way they could break. (Okay and the video they use for the product - a blender with olives, salt and water... Uh.... nope, because if you put those three ingredients in to a form and expected them to dry in to a nice homemade soap, you'd fail. Well, I'm guessing here, but it's misleading. I get the point of the video, cool, but no.)Stars: I chose one star overall, because it arrived on time and had it been from the store it would likely have been in better condition.I chose 1 for sensitive skin and 1 for moisturizing because I can't write N/A as I won't try the soap - I don't want to use salt to clean my skin, and the white powder spots are weird, and - I just know that there is NO WAY I would give this to a guest who has sensitive skin or needs moisture.Bleagh.

My skin gets itchy in the winter so I decided to try olive oil soap. I've used olive oil soap before and liked it. It's pricey, but really helps with my wintery dry skin. Will use every winter.

This is the best soap I ever used. I even use it to wash my hair. No matter what kind or how expensive a shampoo I used, my hair would get oily within a day and I would also see hair in the drain after rinsing. I gave this soap a try for washing my hair and it is like a miracle, my hair does not get oily and does not fall off. Feels fuller and fresh even if I skip a day.

Also (I have eczema spots on feet) does not cause itch (like some other soap brands, after using).
Best soap - natural
I have been using this soap for many years to avoid normal commercial soaps I don't trust. It's definitely got good moisturizing characteristics because my skin is as soft as a baby's bottom, and I'm almost 50. You can feel it when you get out of the shower. Highly recommend!

Seems I got a good batch because it did not smell like cigarettes or anything else bad. Does have a certain scent that stays on you for a bit but I wouldn't say it's bad. Does a great job at cleaning off resin and moisturizing. I'd say I wouldn't use it as an everyday soap bar but for certain jobs for sure.
