I love this licorice but it sells out fast which is good for the sell but sad for the consumer. it is not overbearing with how sweet it and it's worth the value of the price to pay for a qualtiy product.

I love licorice. I can't tell you how long I've searched for an old fashioned style liquorice shoelace that does not taste like Wax and sugar. Finally these licorice shoelaces are absolutely delicious just like the old fashion ones we used to get. So nice to get such a delicious and fresh candy experience, it's like I climbed into a time machine. I can't wait to try more of their products!

i was very disappointed With my purchase. The laces are thick and gummy and cut into small pieces. Without much flavor. This is my second purchase of these laces. The first time the laces were thin, long and tasty. Probably won't take the chance of ordering these again. I may ask for my money back.

I was on a quest to find the original licorice laces I enjoyed as a kid. To that end, I ordered a bag of Kenny's Strawberry Laces (http://www.Bolo.com/gp/product/B000LSJEHG) and a bag of Gustaf's Licorice Strawberry Laces (this item), both from SweetGourmet. Both packages arrived on time and in perfect condition (kudos to SweetGourmet), but the taste and consistency of the two laces couldn't be more different.tl;dr: Gustaf's is the best.Gustaf's laces were sweet, flavorful, thin and flexible, and broke/bit easily. The flavor is intense -- almost "icky sweet" in a good way -- and pretty close to what I remember giving me a sugar rush as a kid. The Kenny's laces are just the opposite: flavorless, thick, tough to break, and almost stale. I'm not sure if I got a bad batch of Kenny's laces, but I cannot recommend them. Gustaf's Licorice Strawberry Laces were the clear winner and are now on my Wish List for future reordering.

These strawberry licorice laces remind me of the candy I had as a child. The flavor and texture was what I hoped for with a product imported from the Netherlands. This is my second purchase from Sweet Gourmet and I have been totally satisfied with the items. I am going to try the blue raspberry licorice laces next!

Probably good candy, but turned out not to be what I was looking for. I needed fairly stiff shoelace licorice to make mice cookies. This was too soft, flexible, and thick. I personally don't like licorice but this was adequately tasty. Better than true licorice. It also came in a huge package so I had tons that I ended up throwing away. I only needed about 4 strands.But if you like strawberry gummy candy this will likely be good for you.

Don't buy this if you're looking for long strands of licorice for decoration or crafting. I bought this because I had seen the "Gustaf's" brand recommended and this seemed to be a repackaging of that, in a smaller volume. Since I didn't need much I bought this instead of the original. That was a mistake! Whoever did the repackaging didn't care about keeping the strands intact; the bag was full of short pieces just a few inches long, with only a few over a foot long. I don't think any of them were the original full length.The licorice tastes fine. But I could just go to the grocery store for licorice that tastes fine.

taste good and aren’t hard so you can easily chew. just make sure you brush your teeth after because it might get stuck in your teeth
