I did try it out and found it to heat nicely and hold its temp for many hours. Since we were unable to use it, I do not have long term thoughts. I am going to donate it to a homeless shelter if they will accept it.

Some have mentioned the controller which lights up only for temp and does not light up for settings so I have to downgrade it for that reason.This is the exact Beautyrest blanket I received from an order 8 YEARS AGO TO THE DAY!.... except for the controller design. Amazing synchronicity of dates,Older one, purchased: 11/26/2016.Current one, received : 11/24/2024.I spent 3+ days searching for a blanket that did not have fleece or sherpa backing. This one LOOKED like the same Beautyrest that had served me well for EIGHT years! I decided to give it a try since I was exhausted. With a 5-year warranty, I am pleased the old one lasted for 8 years, but more pleased that the sale price on the new one was 50% discount!**If you are a single user in a QUEEN size bed, this FULL size is more than adequate since you will have only ONE controller to adjust instead of 2.

On our king size bed there is a large area down the middle which has no coils? So the middle is cold!? You can feel that there are no coils there but you can see the seams where there should be coils. This is a defect. When I purchased it I plugged it to ensure it heated on both sides and it did. I never thought to feel the middle area! I did not use the heat until recently and discovered this. My return window with Bolo is over, of course. So if you buy one, check to ensure all coils are there and heating up. We have been using electric blankets for many many years. Various brands including some previous Beautyrest ones. Never encountered this until now. There is a beautyrest guarantee but you must send it back at your expense! I will not purchase a beautyrest again.

I have used electric blankets my entire life. Can't sleep without one. I usually need to replace them after a year or 2 and even while in use, I need to have it on high and am often still cold. This blanket is THE BEST of the best. The settings go from 1-20. First use, I put it on 20 and had to turn it down. That has never happened to me. I now set it on 7 or 11 and am plenty warm. No hot or cold spots either. Completely uniform warmth and the perfect temperature. I will always be a customer of this blanket. Ours will be 4 years old April 2025. I just purchased a replacement in King size while I could still get them and purchased a king sized one for our son. I also purchased 2 in twin size to use as a lap blanket for myself and a gift for our son. My husband loves the one on our bed, too, and usually keeps his on 1 or 3 and is toasty warm at that setting. This is the best item on Bolo.

We have used this blanket on our queen-size bed for 15 months now, throughout 4 seasons, and it works perfectly and reliably as advertised. Previous blankets had flimsy connectors, or slipped about on top of the top sheet. This one holds its position well, without shifting, and is rugged - despite daily tugging on the covers to remake the bed, the connectors and cables are secure. The only objection my wife has is that the blue indicator light is a bit too bright at night, so she dims it by covering the controller with a sheet of Kleenex. Very nice product, and would definitely recommend buying it.

Works fine but you can feel the wires, and it doesn't heat up in the middle 8-10 inches. But the weight is pretty good at 6 lbs.

Even with a roaring fire in the wood stove she likes nothing better than to get cozy under an electric blanket on the sofa when it is time to relax. She is delighted with the quality and comfort of the electric blanket, which keeps her cozy and warm, and with its ease of use. She complained in the past that electric blankets from other brands did not include an off-switch on the controls, but instead simply shut off automatically after a certain point. She much prefers the certainty of being able to shut if off when it is not in use, so the inclusion of a definite on-off-switch in this electric blanket makes her feel safer. It is still early days in terms of its being used (just a few weeks) but so far I am very impressed.

Warmth for sleeping at night.

Turning it on a setting of 10 and a boost heat about 10 minutes before bed makes it so nice and warm. Heats up really fast using the boost. Don't need it on the rest of the night. Like the way that it is sewn in narrow strips down the length so that the heating coils don't move. The fleece isn't as soft and fluffy as our old blanket but it works really well. The old blanket (different company) took a long time to heat up. Very pleased overall
Broken already
Used only two months, and now it’s not working. Who said I should buy things that has good review. I’m telling that good review, quite expensive product, yes it’s broken still.
The best
I’ve tried lots of electric blankets but this is the brand that lasts. Everyone in the family has one and my truck driver husband even has one in the back of his work truck for when he is out over night. My oldest one lasted 10 years.
