5.0 out of 5 stars Solid TV mount, well made, complete with everything you need and clear instructions. Overly optimistic weight rating, though.

A complete set of mounting screws to fit most TVs (M4, M5, M6 and M8 sizes), as well as washers and spacers are included, along with high-quality wall anchors and screws for use with drywall. A real, honest-to-God, old-school, offset-printed instruction manual, with plenty of clear, high-resolution illustrations, is provided."Slim profile" mounts like this one are intended as an inexpensive compromise between flat brackets, which are especially stable but typically offer limited if any adjustment, and articulated mounts, which extend from the wall on an arm and usually offer a wide range of adjustments, including tilt, swivel, height, and rotate. This particular bracket stands off 90mm from the wall, or roughly 3.5". Bear in mind that this measurement will change if the bracket is tilted or swiveled past 0º.I do have a couple of cautions for potential purchasers:Make sure your TV has mounting holes in one of the supported VESA patterns. Next, measure a 200x200mm square in the center of your TV and check to see if any of your inputs or outputs are likely to be covered by the bracket. If you find this bracket too large, in that one or more of your inputs might be covered by the mounting plate, consider the VideoSecu ML411B, available here: VideoSecu ML411B Adjustable Tilt Swivel Rotation TV Wall Mount Bracket for LCD LED TV and Monitor (Max 44 lbs, VESA 100/75) Black 1FF. It fits TVs with 75x75 and 100x100 mounting patterns, but it's more lightly constructed and I'd only use it for the smallest sets. The VonHaus product is marketed as suitable for TVs weighing up to 66 pounds. Personally, I would not use this mount for TVs weighing much over 25 or 30 pounds. I used it to install a nine-pound TV, and I would describe it as perfect for my application. Even so, it feels a bit "wobbly". That's because this is a fairly versatile mount, it can swivel (up to 90º in theory, limited in practice by the size of your TV) and tilt (up to 20º up or down). The swivel function can be restricted by tightening a large bolt that passes vertically through the center of the mount. The tilt function is made possible by use of a polyethylene "cup" or sleeve, and once you get the angle you prefer, you can tighten a (somewhat difficult to reach and grip) knurled plastic knob that, in turn, pinches the "cup" to lock the tilt angle in place. It works well, but if you grab or bump the TV, it still moves very easily and doesn't seem especially stable. To be fair, that's true of most smaller swivel TV mounts and it's not meant as criticism of this product. I recommend it for modern, lighter TVs. However, if you have an older unit weighing 30 or 40 pounds, I would suggest spending a little more and looking for a more heavily-built mount. Keep in mind also that this bracket does not "lock" securely in any position and isn't suitable for installation in a camper, boat, RV, or any other vehicle.

5.0 out of 5 stars It is sturdy and it works

I bought this wall mount three years ago. I came back to my order history because I moved recently and I need the specs to reinstall it. It is sturdy and it works. I have an older model 32 inch Samsung that is heavier than the the new ones. This is for my bedroom. Never had a problem in three years. It worked for one third of the price of store bought. We had a heck of a time getting it out of the wall when we moved. When installed correctly, it works. As for the swivel comments, it is not an arm. It is what it is, it is for small spaces and smaller tvs that are mounted flat on the wall and no intention of moving it. If this is what you need it for, buy it. It is a very good product for the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Be careful of the size limitations

Santa delivered a new Toshiba 40" LCD for Christmas and his helper needed to wall mount it. After doing the usual research and comment reviews the helper decided on this wall mounting bracket. Yes it swivels. Yes it tilts. But not too much.Easy to install for sure, Santa's helper needed his trusty Makita cordless, a drill bit, and a screwdriver. 15 minutes later TV is up on the wall.....only thing is....it's kind of wobbly. Hmm? Tighten the knob in the back to further secure it? Nope, the knob is as hand tight as possible and there is no way to get a pair of pliers on it and of course the worry of over tightening....Hmm. Maybe the helper mis-read the weight limits? Nope, the tv is well below the 66 pound limit. Size maybe? Well the box says 37 inches and this is a 40 inch diagonal but only 36 wide. Santa's helper thinks the law of physics is at play now, the TV is simply too wide to be stabilized. So back it goes. bummer. Price is good, quality is ok. Santa's helper recommends if you buy it, buy it for sets less than 32 inches. And even though it swivels and tilts, your wall location better be darn close to where you want the TV to be viewed. i.e. this mounting bracket is basically a straight on mount. So the helper wound up using a fully adjustable swivel mount from Sanus, ,bought at Target; more money for sure and a huge increase in quality and design.... well because Santa's helper was now in big trouble and needed a wall mounting bracket asap...but that's another story.

    Yikes! (But also great!)

(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } I put this up by myself to hang a Blaupunkt 32 " TV and it made me sweat. A lot. Put it up yesterday and am still recovering from it.So, what went wrong? It looked simple enough but I made a meal of it. Firstly I was dealing with a hollow wall. I sent off for the kit that Bolo suggested but it required HUGE holes (25mm) to be drilled which I couldn't bear the thought of. So I rustled up some metal molly (?) fixings for hollow walls. Used a spirit level to ensure the bracket would be level. Had to take it apart to put pencil marks where it needed to go. Then I drilled pilot holes and hit a stud (?) on two of the holes. Turned out I couldn't drill in quite the right place and they didn't line up properly - fixed by using a washer on one of the screws. Used the hollow wall thingy in the third hole and don't know if it did what it was meant to do as I don't have a setting tool. Never mind, fingers crossed. So, because of the washer I couldn't lift the whole thing on to the bracket so I fixed the vesa mount on the back of the TV using the spacers because that's what the picture showed - read the instructions later and realised that you only need to use them if your TV requires it. So that's something else to worry about. Then I lifted the TV part onto the swivel bolt after finger-tightening the tilt bolt, thinking it would be easy to tighten them properly once up. Oh dearie me it was really hard to tighten them. Had to use a spanner, in a really tight space, to tighten the swivel bolt. Couldn't get the tilt bolt tightened at all. Anyway, even after all of that, the TV feels secure. It swivels but doesn't tilt, and, rather annoyingly, it will twist because I can't tighten the tilt bolt at all.So for a TV bracket to feel secure after all that is rather amazing. The only thing that bugs me about it is the distance from the wall - seems to be quite far out. Still, that means plenty of room for leads and stuff.I'm also mildly annoyed by the fact that I can't get it to tilt, and, of course the fear that I did so much wrong that it's bound to fall down.TLDR: If someone as useless as me can fit it on their own then it pretty much means anyone can do it. If you make as many mistakes as I did and it still feels sturdy then it's got to be good.
