It arrived with no issues. All of the grommets were in perfect shape. It has a much larger overhang than my previous pool cover which is a feature that I love. I prefer to weight my cover down with water jugs because the last time I used the metal wire included with the cover the weight of the snow I get in Upstate NY put too much tension on the pool itself and broke two of the railings. If I get too much snow, at least the worst thing that can happen is that the jugs end up falling into the pool with no damage to the pool itself. That is one reason I like the extra overhang, because worst case scenario all that will happen is the sides of the cover will rise yet still cover the pool until spring. I have no complaints. I can't wait to see how it lasts over the winter. My last pool cover lasted 10 years so I guess I will see how it stacks up to the test of time. Of note, I never put a pillow in the middle. That only made the issue of snowfall even worse and I have owned above ground pools for over 20 years.Update 4/1/2023, the cover has lasted through 3 winters. This year it is entirely shredded and needs to be replaced. We DID have an unusually bad winter this year though. So much so that my deck even collapsed, so I will probably purchase again. For the price I think I got my money's worth. I don't think that any cover would withstand the winter we just had.

I've only had this for one winter so far. Nothing went wrong. It held up to snowy conditions and freezing temperatures. None of the eyes ripped, no part of the cover itself ripped.Update: It lasted two winters with no rips, but started to get weak after the second winter, so we got rid of it. It's a harsh climate here where the pool freezes solid and we got about two feet of snow on it the second winter, it held up great. The fastening cord and mechanism never broke down.

This is for Robelle 3328-4 Platinum Winter Pool Cover for Round Above Ground Swimming Pools, 28-ft. Round Pool.I kind of knew when I bought this cover it was going to be a one time use cover. The material is thin but did not rip, tear, or punture while in use. And that is with northern Illinois winter and winds. Kept the water in the pool as clean as the day it was closed for the season. The extra material adding to the 28' was very helpful to ensure it wasn't too small, putting pressure on the top rails or walls when the cover filled with rain and snow. The cable tightener is not the greatest but does the job and installation was very easy. After cleaning the first one of these I bought, after opening the pool in the spring, I could see the wear and the material thinning and did not want to chance it the next closing. I went from more expensive covers that had to be cleaned each spring and stored to using these for one season and getting a new one. This is the second one now I have purchased and will buy another to close this season if still available.

For the first time in years, I took off my pool cover in mid-June (because the surrounding trees drop lots of stuff until then), and the water was crystal clear. I had high hopes for this cover last fall because it seemed to deliver in all the right places -- it felt durable and impermeable, but it was not too heavy to get positioned over the pool's edge and the winter pillow. I was happy that it came 4' larger than its 24-foot size because some manufacturers make you go up a size to fit your pool.Over the winter, water and debris were kept on top, I saw no water entry from underneath, and the surface siphoned well. After a couple of hot days, the cover was almost completely dry, and I removed very easily over one side (where I had blown the debris). All that I can hope is that it continues to hold its quality for many years.

Where to begin...well when I first received this cover I thought to myself that it was a joke. No way this thing will make it 8 years. As a prior pool owner only the thickest of thick tarps could make that bold claim. Nevertheless I installed the cover back in September 2019 and thought that this thing blows around WAY too much. I called Robelle and left a voicemail. I called again, left another voicemail. I emailed them. I could not get anyone from this company to speak to me because I had questions regarding the installation. Finally I had enough and filed a BBB complaint #13836867 with boston.bbb.org. FINALLY I get a call from a woman representing Robelle. I expressed my concern regarding the installation instructions. I told her I followed the precise pattern for installing the wire through the grommets and I cranked it up using the included ratchet. She asked if it was tight and I told her that if I tighten this up any more I might crush my vertical pool supports. She said don't worry, it's installed properly and if wind blows enough and gets under the cover it will flap. So flappety flap flap it goes whenever windy but I was assured it is normal and installed properly.So two weeks ago I remove the cover. There are grommets ripped and torn and the cover is peeling apart in places. I laugh to myself because, again, as soon as I saw it I knew there was no way this cover would last 8 years. This morning I sent pictures of the damage to Robelle asking them how to file a warranty claim. Dan from the company responded with:'Are you hanging anything from the cover? We don’t see issues like this. In high wind areas we recommend using the winch and cable, cover clips, wrapping the perimeter of the cover with cover wrap/cover sealer. There is an item called a wall bag you can fill up and put on top of your cover for extra securing.I have attached our warranty for you to review again. The warranty specifies: "Excessive abrasion, holes caused from wear or wind damage and grommets pulling out are specifically excluded from this warranty.” The warranty covers if the seams split open and water is passing through the seams.As a customer service courtesy I could deliver a replacement cover to you for $40. Please note per the warranty you are responsible for the shipping charges, which would be $25, so I am only charging another $15.'BUYER BEWARE! This cover will only last you ONE SEASON. When you try to claim the warranty which they tout, you will be greeted with this CON ARTIST RESPONSE. I believe this is their scam...sell cheap, imported tarps that they purchase for pennies on the dollar and when you try to make a warranty claim, they charge you again and call it a 'customer service courtesy'. WHAT A JOKE!

Was worried about quality but it’s decent and should last some time, enough to make it well worth the money. Was easy to install and no issues with the wire tensioner like others had and I cranked it tight! Size is perfect too.
