Electrolytes are the truth, I ride a week ago and something was off metabolically. I go 29 miles in, my pace was terrible, my breathing was off, I couldn’t get my rhythm down. I got off the bike when I though I was going to pass out, one of the guys rode back to get the car and came to sag me & my friend back to the start. I came home and was so upset that happened, I committed NEVER AGAIN. Enter Bolo. A quick google search and reaching some reviews I landed on Cliff Blocs. I posted pictures of my sag ride and the following week....look at the temperature. The difference in distance and mph. If your electrolytes are off and you ride in hot weather you’re going to struggle. These tasty little blocks will prevent that bonk or metabolic disaster preventing you from having a great ride. Hydrate! If you get thirsty or hungry, it’s too late. Friday’s are our short ride, keep a package in your kit pocket and you can prevent an issue from happening. Namaste & happrnriding friends.

I tried the CLIF BLOKS in Tropical Punch flavor during a long hike, and honestly, they were pretty darn tasty! The flavor was great, not too strong or fake, and they were super easy to chew. Plus, they gave me a quick boost of energy when I needed it most, which was awesome! They're definitely a convenient and yummy way to fuel up for your next outdoor adventure. I'd definitely recommend giving them a try!

They are decent sized gummies, you get four to a pack. The taste of the one I got is good. I like that they are easily accessible and portable to place in my waste pack while on the go. The only thing I didn’t care for was how I was expecting better packaging. The box was kinda open but I counted the packets and all 18 were there

I had a different flavor in the past that I got for about $18 for a box but they were no longer available. Went with this flavor which was almost $10 more, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, than the mountain berry ones. It would be nice if you could get them in packs of three because depending on the length of my run I may only use 9 chews (1.5 packs) and then have to find a ziplock bag to store the rest until my next long run. I did use these during a marathon because they are smaller and easier to store in a pouch or pocket as opposed to the goo pouches.

As much as you can love this type of stuff, I love it. I'd prefer a hamburger and fries when I get really hungry but for racing or when I need some convenient calories, I really like these chews. It is a bit more palatable than just sucking down a gel and less sticky and messy. Plus it is easy to carry and provides twice as many calories as most gels. This may be my favorite flavor too, very hard to describe but something like a mix of fruit punch and some kind of melon taste. I also feel like the caffeine can be helpful, sometimes I will eat three of the bloks prior to a longer run in the morning when I don't have time to eat something substantial and it seems to make early long runs in the dark and cold go by just a bit easier.I would say that it is very useful to try and keep them close to your body if you are out on cold days as they can get pretty hard to chew if they are in an outside pocket on a 25 degree ride.

Last year I'd discovered the little Gatorade energy chews at my local grocery store. They were good for a mid-ride replenishment of calories and energy. I wasn't a fan of the flavor or the grainy texture. I found these on Bolo while investigating alternatives and I'm thoroughly impressed. 6 to a pack, 3 to a serving. 100 calories. Flavor is delicious. Caffeine boost in these isn't crazy, but seems like just enough to give the brain a kick and recover some focus. I've also been using them at work as a mid-afternoon snack. Instead of some random 90 calorie snack I have a serving of these. The little bit of caffeine combats the afternoon food coma. I figure it's a healthier option than a mid-afternoon coffee with sugar and creamer.
I love it, a real pity you can't get it ...
