So we 're going to give them a try and put some in my bathroom for when family visits.

I'm old school and these are hard to find! They're soft and not covered with plastic.

I use these daily; after 4 kids and a light case of MS, my 'crankcase' leaks! They will absorb a lot. And I even more appreciate the length, because I never know which direction I'll 'squirt'. Price is great. They could be just a smidge thicker, though, for fit, comfort, and absorption. I especially love that they don't have those silly "wings"!

I bought these to use as pressure bandages with self adhesive wrap just for possible deep cuts that need to be seen by a doctor or ER, but to help in staunching blood for a husband who does a great DIY on all projects but has been known to have the occasional surprising injury. (Gauze pads absorb only so much)I am not suggesting you stock your first aid kit with these, nor giving medical advice. I am simply happy to have another first aid tool. (Clean old cotton cloths or towels are not so plentiful these days as old movies might suggest!)
