This was exactly the kind of watch I was seeking for daily wear. My previous fossil watch was nice but I had to take it to get the battery changed every year or so, which was annoying.I love that this watch has a pretty shiny face & never needs a battery. It's not flashy but it keeps the time perfectly, has the date of the month which is helpful, and BONUS it actually came with the date & time set PERFECTLY to my area so I didn't have to do anything except take a few links out of the wristband to fit my wrist.It does come with a larger size wrist band but that can easily fit a much smaller wrist by taking out a link or two. I love that it is SOLAR, water resistant, and still looks nice. Great purchase!

I love this watch. I wanted something classic, slightly feminine that would not make me itch & that was easy to use. This is made of stainless steel so I don't itch. It is easy to change the time. The date is a little tricker but I was able to fiddle with it & figure it out. I love that is is powered by light so I'll never need to change a battery. If you have small wrists it's a little big but you can take links out so that is negligible. The date is a little difficult to read if you don't have great vision but that's ok. I've got glasses that give me 20/25 vision so it just takes me moving it around a little to hit the light right. I love the mother of pearl face for that feminine touch. And I love that it is not super flashy. I've worn this pretty much every day for the last few months since I've gotten it. I haven't gotten it adjusted yet because life has been busy but it looks great. It will look better once the links are removed but it stays on my wrist so that's what matters. And it's simple design means it goes with almost everything.

This watch is spectacular. I searched for weeks for a solar-powered watch - I can't begin to say how sick I am of paying to replace batteries on my old watch. I wanted a watch that's somewhere between professional and casual, solar, subtle, bling-free (why do modern watches all have tacky sparkly stones all over them?), small (I have tiny wrists), durable, pretty, feminine but not overpowering, and easy to coordinate with basically everything I own short of dressy evening wear. Essentially, I wanted a decision-free watch that I can put on every morning without thinking twice about it, and have it work perfectly, match perfectly, and keep perfectly accurate time. This watch does all of those things, and I'm absolutely in love with it. The mother of pearl face is quite subtle, but it catches the light beautifully in flashes of delicate pinks and greens (reminds me of the northern lights). I had to remove all but one of the extra links to make it fit my small wrist, but it does fit. I've owned it for just over a month, worn it every day and so far it shows absolutely no signs of wear. The minute and hour hands glow in the dark - perk. Assuming the solar battery holds up as advertized, this watch is about as perfect as a watch can be for me. If anything goes amiss, I'll update my review accordingly.Edited to add: I wrote my original review on June 15, 2013 after about a month of ownership. It has now been almost two years, and I'd just like to add that this watch is everything that I had hoped it would be. I've worn it, quite literally, every single day since I bought it, and it shows virtually no signs of wear and tear. The crystal is in perfect condition, and I haven't exactly been gentle with it. The Eco-Drive has worked exactly as promised. I just came back to purchase a second Citizen Eco-Drive watch (smaller, for dressier occasions), and I can't imagine ever needing to try another brand again.

I loved the size of this watch as I have thin long arms. My husband was able to remove some of the links so it fits perfectly. Love the mother of pearl face. Works great. Only wish the date was a little bigger as it's hard to read depending on the number.

had been looking for a watch that does not require battery for months - but i want a quality brand and this Citizen watch did not disappoint. I had one in the 80's hence i thought of getting a brand that i knew. I had small wrist and the face dial did look good,😍 i hope i don't get hooked on buying another of their eco drive model as it will ruin my budget

I read the reviews and some mentioned it is difficult to read the time. It is mother-of-pearl so you just need to hold at the right angle, but the “day” window, I cannot read however I don’t really need that feature. It is a pretty watch and a good value.. I was looking for a casual solar watch but didn’t want to pay a lot. I only buy solar watches now and have quite a few in different styles and colors, this is a nice addition to my collection and can actually be worn with casual wear or dressed up.The face is the smallest in my collection, most of my others have a large face, but I really like this watch.

I had one of these several years ago and was so sad when my toddler lost it. After searching for one that was almost exactly like the previous one, I found this watch. I absolutely love it! I love the simplicity of it, the durability, no battery, the way the band fits my wrist, and so on. I wear it every day and it goes with every different type of clothing I wear.

I looked at a lot of watches in shops and on line before choosing this watch. I'm a fan of self-wind watches, but thought I'd give a solar powered watch a try to see whether I can achieve the facility of not having to change a battery every couple of years, and have a very accurate watch at the same time. I also wanted a 100m water resistant watch.This watch arrived earlier this week, and I'm really pleased with it so far. It is lovely looking: understated but very ladylike unlike all my other bulky Seiko watches. The mother of pearl style face is really pretty- shines with lots of different colours in the sunlight. I've got tiny wrists so I've taken out a lot of links, but the strap still looks good on my wrist, so I think it would fit any woman's wrist. (I would recommend the very cheap watch repair kit on Bolo for altering your strap!)Obviously I've only had it a few days, and it started as soon as I got it out of the box. I'll update this if there are any problems with it as time passes.

I bought this watch to replace a Citzen watch I'd had for 20+ years. This is a lovely stylish watch. The bracelet is nice and chunky without being too big or masculin. The watch face is easliy readable even with the mother of pearl face, and the ends of the hads are luminous so you can still tell the time in the dark! I was able to have the extra links taken out to make it fit and for the safety clasp to sit comfortably on my wrist. Fab watch, couldn't buy better. Watch face 20mm, face and surround 25mm.
