My husband has a very short neck and cannot tilt his head back due to fusion so being able to drink without a straw has been a struggle. The wide OVAL design is perfect and gives him flexibility to drink it different ways. The cup is NOT too heavy; yet very stable. The color is lovely and hope they will extend the palette to yellow, orange, blue, pink, etc. The price is REASONABLE - and the quality of the cup in the material and manufacturing of it is very good No LEAKS at the seams.For those with Large noses this is a great cup to use. Embrace your Large Nose - it is a unique body part whether a man or woman and as you age it will blend just fine.

I bought this cup for my mother with dementia when she developed difficulty swallowing. It not only helped her swallow, but because of the oval shape I could hold it for her and see how much liquid went into her mouth. I also tried it with my father who is developing tremors and some difficulty swallowing and he liked it so well I bought one for him, too. It is pricey, but worth it especially if you can prevent aspiration pneumonia. I think it is expensive because they don't make them in huge quantities. I bought both colors-- the green one is very nice looking and both are holding up well so far.The mug doesn't get hot when you put coffee in it which makes it easier to hand it to your parent. I haven't found any faults yet. Give it a try if someone you love has difficulty swallowing.

$25.00 is a bit much for a plastic cup; but the darn thing grows on you. The odd shape does seem to work to reduce choking episodes for my dysphasia patient. She can handle the cup and the "nose included" shape of the rim works to keep her chin tucked.The cup has a stable base. The overall feel and shape makes this an object you'll want to use, once you get past the initial strangeness.My only quibble is that the price is about $5.00 more than it should be. I's buy another if they were more reasonable.

I purchased this cup for my dad. He has dysphagia & tremors due to Parkinson’s. He has had it for about a month now and says that it works fairly well for his dysphagia. The larger handle is very convenient and the oval shape of the cup definitely makes it easier for him to drink without getting choked up.This cup is quite small in that it only holds about 8oz of liquid, so it requires more frequent refills and that is not always ideal for my dad.It is NOT, in fact, weighted as it claims. It is a very lightweight plastic. My dad has another cup that is actually weighted and he would like that one better if it also had the oval shape for drinking.Summary: I think this is a good cup for those with dysphagia, but not for people suffering from tremors.

The shape of the cup does not make a difference in my mother's dysphagia. Would I buy it again? No! The weighted part is nice, but can be had cheaper I'm sure.
