Fantastic shoes. The fit was perfect, and they were comfortable right out of the box. No breaking in required. The slip resistance is excellent, and they keep my feet dry even in heavy rain. I wore my last pair of Keen shoes until they were falling apart, which took years to happen, and I expect to do the same with these. Definitely would buy again and probably will when these wear out.

The best shoe for the money. I've gone through many brands of shoes working in the restaurant industry. These are by far the best for me. Perfect cushioning as I get older, excellent slip resistance, great longevity! I just wish the leather was a bit softer when new.... these shoes must be broken in! On second pair of the lace up and definitely kill my feet the first few days until they the leather breaks in.

Comfortable and good looking. Easy to clean off. I use these daily for tile and flooring installation. They come with comfortable insoles. Wide toebox, and toe cap is great for flooring installers.

I am a Chef that works on my feel all day long, in a kitchen with wet and slippery floors, not just water but grease as well. I am over 50yrs old and Have been cooking professionally for 34 years. Believe me I know shoes and better yet good-great kitchen shoes. I have for years sworn by another very well known kitchen shoe, one that the whole kitchen crew will know. I am taking the time here to lay out my knowledge and vast experience with kitchen/work shoes. I wear a size 13, regular width. I have very flat feet and suffer from Plantar Fasciitis on and off for years. Now, My review....This is by far the most impressive shoe I have ever worn!!!! Hands down the BEST out of the box comfort "No Break In" needed. They fit secure in the heel and mid foot, then the Keen larger toe box "one of their trade marks" opens up the area around your toes for luxury comfort of your toes. The black leather uppers are supple and pliable....Not work boot stiff! They breath very well. My feet are never hot and my socks are NEVER damp after a 12 hour day. The uppers clean up easily with a damp towel. The Tread on this shoe is completely slip proof! Walking from dry floors into the dish room "wet floor area" and back out, I have absolutely no slipping. Walking from wet floors past the fryer area "greasy floor area" again NON-Slip! The treads are very strong and seem to just stick like they are supposed to. I thought while inspecting these shoes, that it had an interesting inner curve to the bottom of the shoes. The outer sides edges are slightly lower than the middle of the shoe, giving the bottom of the shoe a slight upward arc from side to side. This has to be why they are so comfortable, giving you more comfort on the bottom of the foot. The outside touches first, giving the inner foot more support! FANTASTIC!!!!! After wearing them a month now, I have NO foot pain at all, it has been years since I could say that!!!! I could hug whom ever at Keen said, "Lets make a shoe for the chef or mechanic, or utility worker that just needs a fantastic shoe in a difficult working environment!" I am buying another pair so I can wear them outside of work and on the weekends! Shoes that feel so good should be worn 24/7!! THANK YOU Keen!

Bolo needs to update the images to reflect the new version of these cheapened shoes. I've been wearing these amazing shoes for over 10 years. They're one of the very few work shoes that kept my feet happy when I need to be on them for a few hours. I have to think that someone bought out KEEN, because for the life of me, I can't understand some of the changes they've made in this shoe. Most noticeable is the padding, these use to be quite padded in the heal, the tongue..the padding has been cut in half, affecting fit, and comfort. These always felt like cozy slippers, right out of the box. The shoe also feels lighter, and seems to be from the sole material being thinner, or not as dense. Other than the padding not keeping my foot as snug in the shoe, thankfully, the fit of the shoe hasn't changed. Sadly, they now use the slightly firmer insert (canteen version), and along with the not as firm sole, my feet now ache within a hour of wearing them, something that NEVER happened with the old version. FOLKS...if these were "improvements", companies would brag about it in their advertising. They've also replaced their great laces, with black waxed tennis shoe laces. I've only worn these a few times to see if they can somehow be broken in, which these shoes NEVER needed. We'll see how they hold up. The only things that wore out on the old version were the heal lining material, and the sole.

People ask me where I got these shoes. I buy a pair a year, way before they wear out, and have done so for more years than I can remember. Relatively inexpensive, well-made, nice-looking enough for general wear, but, most importantly, extremely slip proof on a variety of surfaces. Non-marking, oil-proof soles. Insole removable for orthotics, wide toe box and normal heel width. Six eyelet lacing allows for high instep comfort. I think most people would get two years out of them with daily wear. I wear them for EVERYTHING.

I got these at the tail end of October, and they've served me well. They were exceedingly comfortable, fit well, and lightweight. However, it's the middle of March, and they're completely worn out. The sole is threadbare in places, the back of the collar is torn, and most worryingly, the slip resistance is completely gone, I've actually fallen in my workplace several times. I wouldn't mind it if they were 30 dollars, but these are nominally 90 with a coupon. Do they work? Yes. But either they need to come down in price a lot, or they need to be made better and last longer. I can't spend 3-400 dollars a year on work shoes.
