5.0 out of 5 stars Anyone want to start a Flea Support Group?
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } I have NEVER written a review before. This past month and a half of dealing with a severe flea infestation has been one of the most challenging times I've ever experienced. I have spent so much money and tossed out so many things. I feel like we all need a support group. Did Vets Best totally fix my issue, no, but did it help immensely, speed the process up, and help with my state of mind? Sure did!Side note: HOW is there no easy way in the year 2023 to get rid of fleas?!?I don't want to get my hopes up too much that I am completely rid of Fleas, but I think I am for sure on somewhat of the other side of it. What I found most helpful during this process was reading everyone else's experiences, so I'll share mine in the hopes it helps at least one other person. My indoor (never outdoor, untreated) cat had been leaving this blackish dirt everywhere. I really had no idea what it was, I usually have my windows and screen door open and there was a lot of construction around my apartment, silly me just figured it was that...Well, I was scrolling through TikTok one night, and this woman is talking about how she noticed 'flea dirt' on her foster kitten, at that moment, everything just clicked into place for me. I checked my poor cat out, and sure enough I saw the little buggers. The next morning I woke up and my life has not been the same.Called the vet and they couldn't get him in for a few days (because of course), so I attempted a flea bath, but nothing is going to work until you treat the animal and start seriously treating your house. I have been vacuuming every single day, twice a day. I start with my big vacuum going around each and every wall of the house with the hose, and then I do a big vacuum. I then send the Roomba around. I did ultimately decide to toss my rugs, which some say was an overreaction, but anyone who is deep in the middle of this I think can understand. I vacuum the couch every other day. I did lay a sheet down over it, so the cat would have less contact. It took me about a week to start using the spray. At first, I bought WONDERSIDE, which I really liked the smell of the Cedarwood, however, that spray is VERY expensive and when I sprayed the floor, it left a film over it. I did spray Wondercide on my cat, but I don't really know how much that helped. As I was bleeding money, I was looking for a cheaper alternative, and I started using VETS BEST. I actually like spraying this on my couch and floors better. I've even used it in my car as a percussion. I have not sprayed VETS BEST directly on my cat. The smell is Spearmint, it's truly not super overpowering, lingers for a bit, and then dies down pretty quickly. And honestly, I would rather smell spearmint for 5 mins then have fleas running wild.Again, I cannot directly know for sure if this has done anything more than give me a little peace of mind, but let's put it this way, I just placed my 4th order. So, what would I say to someone just starting this terrible journey?1. Treat your animal. My indoor cat will never be off flea meds for the rest of his life. I never want to go through this again.2. Start vacuuming daily, and if you have a roomba, send that around too. Empty the vacuum OUTSIDE every time. It's also a good way to check your progress.3. Brush your pet daily. I had a bowl of hot water with Dawn Dish Soap so they would die a hot soapy death.4. Wash bedding every other day at least. (This has been the hardest, as I live in an apartment and have to pay for laundry, but you HAVE to do it)5. Spray VETS BEST around the house every few days and then don't vacuum to let it sit.6. If you can get rid of your rugs, I would...truly whatever gives your peace of mind, that's important.7. CapStar! You can get it from your vet or way cheaper on Chewy. I wish I had known about this pill sooner.8. I spoke with exterminators, and they said that they can come 'treat' the house, but given the life cycle of fleas, they'll have to come back again. Really the only thing you can do is vacuum.I like to think that over a month in a half in, I am almost on the other side and now am just maintaining to keep the next cycle at bay. But I cannot recommend this product enough.Good. Luck.
5.0 out of 5 stars FINALLY A PRODUCT THAT REALLY DO WHAT IT SAOING TO DO.. IT REALLY WORKS..
If I could give this product 10 stars I would. I'm purchasing this product again RIGHT NOW. WOW this product WORKS.. This is My HONEST REVIEW. I brought this product because there is many stray dogs in my neighborhood and my puppy is a house puppy. He loves to go outside. Lately my puppy has been scratching uncontrollably 😱🤔. I received this product today at 10AM I applied it on my puppy My puppy is sleeping and relaxing.. He's not scratching like crazy.. I went outside and sprayed my yard with the spray. I walked side the road and started spraying around my mail box. There is a sewage drain right side my road by my mail box. If you know about sewage you know roaches leave there. Just let me say that some of that product went inside the sewage drain them roaches started running and flipping on their backs dying. This product kills roaches on contact as well as fleas and ticks and it also smells great while doing it.. i'm glad someone told me about this product so now i'm sharing with others that have dogs IT REALLY WORKS‼️‼️
4.0 out of 5 stars Its not perfect but its better than other forms of flea and tick spays
It doesn't seem to kill the fleas; they just don't like it and jump off the dogs. I have to keep repeating the process, but don't repeat for at least 48 hours like the instruction have warned. Eugenol can be unhealthy if administered to often and in excess. (Eugenol is made from Cloves, my favorite aroma) The dogs which I have five, don't seem to mind being sprayed with the product. I have one dog who is prone to seizures, so I won't spray her, but the other dogs have tolerated the spray very well. I don' mind spraying them two or three times per week if it at least helps with their suffering and its not toxic to them. I just couldn't give them a 5, but I will still use the product.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very effective!
Seems to work great against fleas and ticks and has a minty smell. I've been seeing a bunch of ticks in my yard and my dogs have been bringing them in the house. After using this exactly as described. I haven't seen anymore flea's or ticks on them or in the house. I've used it on my carpets and rugs too without any problems. It arrived in a sealed back in a box and had a seal under the lid. I found you need to screw the sprayer nozzle on right until you hear a click and it hasn't leaked yet. The sprayer works as a steam or mist type spray pattern. I would buy it again. It's actually the first one I've used that actually works as it says!
3.0 out of 5 stars Faulty bottle cap
The media could not be loaded. The product is the spray part of the bottle broke and spilled it’s not the product it’s the car makes it hard to hold and spray the product and very inconvenient to use since I don’t use it always I spoke to Bolo which they replied why didn’t you contact before but I don’t use this all of the time only when I do I have to deal with this faulty spray bottle. Also the scent is strong and if accidentally tipped it spills so the smell is strong and has happed when my dogs spilled it because it is faulty bottle the spill was too much and smelled so strong for overnight. Bolo was not willing to replace it without me returning but offered a credit which I took and will rebuy a new bottle hope no spills next time.
5.0 out of 5 stars Quick acting!
Even though we treat our dog every month, as the weather warmed up this spring we were seeing more and more fleas around the house and on the dog. He was miserable. We tried bathing several times a week on top of the monthly flea treatment, but there was no improvement. We applied this spray (not even as liberally as the instructions recommend) and within an hour there was not a single flea visible on him. Our dog was also finally able to really fall asleep without anything biting him. The smell is strong as it's applied, but doesn't linger. I'm HIGHLY sensitive to smells so I was very worried about that aspect, but it hasn't been a problem.I recommend using it every 48 hours for several days to continue to kill fleas at all stages.
It's the best chemical free and natural alternative available
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } It works but in larger quantities. Meaning more spray is required to kill fleas efficiently. Most die , some survive. It's the best chemical free and natural alternative available.
I like it for my pup
This product has a menthol smell which is very nice
Product works, but takes time
This product does not kill ticks instantly, but I did notice the decrease in population. I like that it is safe for pets and furnishings and does not smell like chemicals
3/5
makes my dog smell quite a bit which i dont like but it did stop his itching
Doesnt work for UAE ticks
Sadly , doesnt work , I live in area with a lot of ticks , and now a lot of them with my dog area … i tried to spray it on area + on dog - ticks dont care at all … Even when I put ticks in cup with liquid from this bottle - they dont die - they swim 20+ sec , and only then kind paralyses or die due of lack of oxygen …
