This cutter is AMAZING!I've started making my own greeting cards, and rather than pay money for kits, I wanted to choose my own cardstock. Of course, that means being able to cut it down to the sizes I need, so I knew I needed to get my own cutter. I'm used to one of those big guillotine cutters at work, and to be honest, I really didn't trust the design of the smaller cutters I saw. But I figured Fiskars is a good brand, so I crossed my fingers and ordered this one. And I couldn't be happier!This little cutter is absolutely amazing! Everything lines up perfectly, and the precision of the cut is unmatched! The guillotine cutters I've used are not as precise, and it's easy for the paper to shirt and cut unevenly -- not so with this Fiskars cutter! Not only does it cut perfectly straight every single time without fail, but the little wire that shows exactly where your cut will be is genius! Seriously, I have used all kinds of bigger, supposedly better, commercial cutters, and none of them hold a candle to this one.

We already had one, with a long knife that looks dangerous and never cuts straight. So, this was a return to normalcy: a paper cutter that cuts paper.

Exactly what I needed to trim small photos and collage pieces! You can see precisely where the cut will be made -- no guesswork required. Small, lightweight, with a clear grid for measuring. I'm so excited to cut paper in straight lines. So much better than scissors!!

The blade arrived dull, but thankfully I have a set of blades on the way already but...come on... Also, to help those out that state the surface looks wrinkly or scratches easily-- there is a super thin protective clear film that covers the grid layer of both the main/left area and the other side of the cutter/right side. Just peel this off and it's perfect clean/clear, smooth plastic. What is really annoying though, is I bought this thinking, 'Fiskars is quality so surely it'll be perfect' and then it comes with a dull blade. Eeesh. Everything else seems very good quality and sturdy though. I do love the little grippies on the back and the wire line to show exactly where the blade will cut. The wire line for cutting precision was my deciding factor versus another brand- the other brand had a painted line but it was thicker so wouldn't serve an accurate purpose. Overall this trimmer feels solid..but I am awaiting the extra blades I purchased so I can properly utilize this item; hopefully they are sharp.. I definitely will come back and update if that is the case. I believe somewhere in the reviews I read the dull blade issue as well as the blade was a bit wobbly (as is mine) but that the replacement blades cut good and are taut in the slider. So, we'll see on that.

This is a great paper cutter. YOu can cut multiple sheets at once. It feels sturdy and strong and not like it's going to get out of alignment or have issues cutting in a straight way. Excellent quality would recommend a thousand times over I love this paper cutter. FEELS SOLID. I USE THIS FOR JUNK JOURNALS, COLLAGE, AND GLUE BOOKING.

Now I have no others I can compare this to as I have never used one before but I have been watching many, many others online use them and have seen others make not so clear cuts, frayed edges and so forth, or the sizes were just not what I was not looking for, cutter did not lock in, so forth. I just did not want to buy one and not like it and have to rebuy as I am on a fixed income. So I did much research. I ended up buying this one and have been using it for the past few days all day long each day, and am totally happy with my choice! the blade cuts perfectly, it locks into place, has an extending arm, great measurements, cuts up to 10 pages at a time (I should know as I have already tried this one a few times). it has no slip stays on each corner so it wont slip when on a surface (but today I was too sleepy and was using it on my lap and it worked fantastic (took apart a huge 300 pg book that won't ever be used for anything but my junk journaling). I just truly highly recommend this one

When I opened it , it was packaged nicely and then when I went to use it I noticed that there was long scratches on it ... It bothered me a lot but I didn't want to go through the whole return , replace thing so I decided to keep it... Few days later I was messing with it and I realized that there is a clear plastic on top that you have to peel off ... I was wondering that to begin with but I didn't mess with it worried that I was gonna scratch it worst... When it comes down to it the plastic on it is so thin it doesn't even look like it's there. Btw it's also on the pull out bar as well .... It's perfect just another amazing fiskars product ... Just wanted to give a heads up to everyone ..

Tamaño pequeño, gran desempeño

Es un producto excelente, es el tercer producto que compro de la marca Fiskars y no me he arrepentido, es un producto pequeño en comparación con una guillotina convencional sin embargo los resultados son excelentes, la cuchilla tiene mucho filo y el corte que realiza es limpio sin rebabas ni mordiscos, trae un alambre muy fino que indica exactamente donde se realiza el corte por lo que la exactitud es perfecta, también al presionar la guia el papel permanece fijo y no se mueve con el paso de la cuchilla.Trae un brazo que al extenderlo se puede trabajar con papeles de mayor tamaño, sin embargo considero que el tamaño es la unica limitante que tiene esta guillotina, solo podrías cortar hojas tamaño carta y de tamaño menor. Ahora he cortado hasta 10 hojas al mismo tiempo pero tienes que ejercer mayo presión con la cuchilla, en las especificaciones del producto marca que el maximo de corte es de 7 hojas de papel bond normal pero puede cortar un poco mas.El reemplazo de la cuchilla tambien lo vende Bolo por lo que no tendras problemas en conseguir el repuesto, yo adquiri esta guillotina a un precio de 228 pesos y el reemplazo de cuchillas que viene con 2 a un precio de 89, de hecho por esa razon la adquiri porque el precio era demasiado bajo.Considero que es un producto de uso casero o para oficinas chicas, si tu necesidad es mayor no creo que este producto sea para ya que es totalmente de plástico que aunque se ve bastante resistente no se como vaya responder a un uso intensivo, sin embargo la precisión es la mejor cualidad de este producto... Por cierto a diferencia de los otros 2 productos Fiskars que he comprado este trae graduación en pulgadas y centimetros... los otros solo en pulgadas...

Great trimmer/cutter. Convenient size for smaller items. Only issue is the cutting blade can pop out of the rail at the right hand side through the opening you replace it through from time to time.
