I’ve been looking for a clean, non-toxic product that actually holds my curls in place, and this one delivers. The hold is strong but never crunchy, and it defines my hair beautifully without leaving it stiff or sticky.What I love most is how clean and lightweight it feels no buildup, no flaking, and it rinses out easily. It’s also cruelty-free, non-toxic, and full of nourishing ingredients, which makes me feel good about using it regularly. A little goes a long way, and it works well whether I’m air-drying or diffusing. Definitely a staple in my curly hair routine!

I do love the definition this product gave! I tried it a few times and played with it a bit. The hold is out of this world! It's not sticky. It dries pretty quickly. The only drawback is that it didn't really moisturize. The first time I tried it, my hair felt like the Sahara. However, after adding my own products, I think I've found my blend.Which brings me to my next point. This mixes well with other products! I've mixed up to 4 different products with this and it doesn't clump and the hold isn't compromised. The pic you are seeing is AFTER picking out my roots. However, the definition initially went all the way to my roots without being super heavy (curly girls know the significance of this).For reference, I am 3c, 4a, 4b and this works well on all my textures. 💓

What I liked about the products I’ve used from Innersense is the fragrances have been nice. I liked that I Create Hold actually kept my hair from looking frizzy for the most part. There’s no super crispy, feel, or greasy feel. There’s not a lot of shine, though. I’ve been using the hydrating hair bath, and conditioner, along with I Create Volume and I Create Hold. From the get-go I’ve had several problems though. I noticed right away that sometimes my scalp would itch. My hair strands would stick together after using the shampoo and conditioner, and the I Create Volume seemed to add to that. I definitely had to be careful to not run my fingers through my hair at all after it was dry. When I wake up in the morning, I have horrible tangles towards the ends of my hair, something I didn’t have a problem with before, and I noticed that my hair started falling out quite a bit. When I ordered this new bottle of I Create Hold the product seemed much thicker than the original bottle I had purchased, and immediately my scalp started burning and itching whenever I used it. I contacted Carbon Beauty about the problem and no one ever got back to me. I’m so disappointed because I had high hopes that I’d finally found products that didn’t make my hair look either greasy or crispy after styling. I cannot use the products in the shower, because where ever the residue touches the rest of my skin even though I rinse off thoroughly, I’ve developed a random rashes all over my body. I would say if you have sensitive skin, see if you can get samples or buy small bottles of the products before investing. My sister has hair that’s much less curly than mine so she uses different products in the Innersense line and has no problems. She loves it and it makes her hair look beautiful. Unfortunately for me, between the tangles, the hair loss, and the burning itching scalp I am going to have to continue to look elsewhere for compatible hair care products.
