5.0 out of 5 stars F-i-n-a-l-l-y something that helped my split nails!
I am so glad I found this product! My natural nails are awful. They have lots (I mean LOTS) of vertical ridges, yet the nails are very thin. When I was young, my mom told me "just smooth the ridges out gently with a file." Um, huge mistake! those ridges weren't thick lines, but rather vertical bends in my nail.I When my young self tried to buff down the ridges like suggested, what happened was I quickly exposed my tissue under the very first nail and left a crack along one of the ridges. This vertical crack grew worse over time and it would catch on everything. It never went away - decades later. No amount of nail polish would hide the amount of ridges I have on my nails. I started getting my nails done. Acrylic for a few years then a break for a few years, then maybe the past 3 years or so I was getting gel nails done by a very gentle manicurist. The gel not only made my nails look nice, but it helped cover that crack from catching on everything,,,until I got a vertical crack on the other hand (the finger of my wedding rings -nooooo!)I decided to take a break from gel nails and was covering the cracks with a piece of tea bag and superglue. Was this my life?I found Vitry on Bolo and read the reviews and decided to give it a try.1.It is thick stuff, so a couple coats of this DID indeed hide my awful ridges, (I do not have a medical problem, I just inherited the ridged from mysweet, sweet Dad.)2. It kept my cracks covered so they didn't catch on anything.3. After the second bottle I happened to notice...Could it be??? My cracks are gone?!!! I am nervous they could show up again, but for now they are gone! Yay!4. All 10 of my nails feel harder and thicker than I ever remember them being, and they are long! I have NEVER been able to grow nails like this. All ten nails are long. All ten need repeated filing down. Even when I take this product off, the nails feel thicker than my natural nail ever has.The only con is that when I first put it on my nails feel a little hot, and maybe even a tad sore which can't be a good thing, right? That feeling quickly fades but I wonder why it happens in the first place.Anyway, this has, by far, been the best product I've ever used for my crappy nails. AND it does not chip or peel like polish. It won't come off until I take it off. No soaking like gels. Just WIPE OFF with remover on a cotton pad.Good luck. Hope it helps you as much as it has helped me.
5.0 out of 5 stars AMAZING!!!
Although this product contains a whole lot of formaldehyde (2%), it works like no other nail hardener that I have EVER tried in my entire life!!! My nails have always grown without a problem, but within the past several months I've become anemic and low on blood levels of folic acid and B12. A friend showed me her nails, which I would've bet my paycheck on that they were acrylic or gel nails, but they weren't. She had been using Vitry Nail Repair Treatment for a month and the results were amazing!! I ordered myself a bottle and immediately began using it twice a week. My nails grew in longer and stronger than they ever had. I'd include a photo, but I recently cut my nails short. I ran out of my bottle of Vitry and its been sold out for over 6 weeks 😫 Another thing, when I have this on as a base coat, my nail polish lasts for at least 10 days without chipping. I suggest always making sure that it doesn't come in contact with the skin around your nail or the cuticle by applying a good oil.
5.0 out of 5 stars The best product I've tried.
I have very soft nails that split and crack. I have tried numerous supplements and various nail serums and polishes. I initially got this as a sample in the mail. Fell in love with it and have ordered it several times on Bolo since. It actually stays on for several days and it makes my nails feel strong. Prevents painful splitting and breaks. Is worth the price.
1.0 out of 5 stars Formaldehyde
I first bought this in a Paris drug store 5 years ago. I liked it, as it helped my nails, and used it ever since. But the only place I could buy it in the states was via Bolo. I noticed when I used a magic marker, the fumes made my nails turn dark. Huh? Then I looked at the ingredients. All I'm going to say is this: it contains formaldehyde, a known carcinogen. I had bladder cancer 2 years ago and formaldehyde is a known cause. I've never smoked in my life. (Full disclosure: I also had a couple of Brazilian Blow-Outs to straighten my hair and acrylic nails for years and they all contain formaldehyde). Draw your own conclusions.
4.0 out of 5 stars Sticky gluelike application
This product is not like the one I bought at Walmart.com.This one is sticky and thick. Old perhaps?Everyrhing stucks to my nails. I'm so disappointed Im trying to return
5.0 out of 5 stars A product you can rely on
I’ve tried many products for splitting nails and this one is the best. You can see results in a few weeks and your nails grow stronger in a couple of months.
2.0 out of 5 stars Turns orange on your nail
Thought it would work at first but after a couple days my nails turned orange! Would not recommend.
