It's about genetically induced horned vipers that the government planned on using to fight wars. They get out of hand and swim to a small island and start attacking the residents. It has a good love story. In the end the good guy wins the girl and the battle.

As normal the five stars are either robo reviews or people involved with the movie. Way to many glaring mistakes as normal. One snakes can not chew that is why the swallow their prey whole. The can not jump or leap as they where in the movie. And the shure do not scream. All the same the movie is watchable if you can not find anything else.

1.0 out of 5 stars It's Tremors, but with bad CGI snakes
Typical low-rent made-for-Syfy creature feature. A bunch of people on an island are menaced by genetically-enhanced horned vipers. The first half-hour is a soap opera--who is sleeping with who, who is angry at who, blah blah blah. Then the snakes show up and kill off those characters, rendering all that tedious nonsense pointless. The snakes are really bad and very silly. Apparently, the film makers were unaware (or didn't care) that snakes don't chew their food, they swallow everything whole, so the disappearance of entire human bodies and a lake covered in floating fish heads makes no sense. Also, snakes don't scream, they hiss. All of this could be forgiven if the story was in any way interesting, but it's not. With the exception of the late, great Don Davis, the cast is pretty much nothing but vapid 20-somethings and we don't care about any of them, especially the obnoxiously bratty teenage girl. And why did the corporate bad guys kill the scientists at the beginning and try to steal the snakes, which sets the whole plot in motion? Never explained. In short, no real reason to watch this.
Snakes seek sustenance
Vipers is a proper B grade monster movie with some pretty good special effects and acting for such a straight to DVD type of movie.The plot has the standard government agency screw up which results in a pack of genetically altered, super hyper vicious snakes escaping from the lab. The snakes head to an inhabited island where they proceed to kill the town's people. The survivors hold up in a hotel as the government send in a team to capture one of the specimens and destroy the rest. The snakes don't cooperate and the team and the town's people have to team up to get off the island before the snakes head for the mainland.There are some surprises thrown in and the occasion shock scene. There is a pretty descent sub-plot involving a romance for the Tara Reid character and the expected betrayal from the government flunkies, overall an average creature feature not the best but not the worst I've seen.

Snakes bred for venom-Break free and use peoples for there meals to go.
Awesome & Fun Movie!
I just got done with viewing this movie, and it's ALOT of fun! The movie is scary, funny, thrilling and entertaining! The acting is great, with awesome performances from Tara Reid, Aaron Pearl and Don Davis! The snakes look really realistic and are very scary looking! The film has some cool death scenes and is pretty bloody! The best snake and horror movie of the year! Pick this one up on DVD, i know i will:)
