This is a really great gel for creating lasting volume. But I had so much trouble unlocking the pump mechanism that I finally gave up and used the gel directly from the bottle. I was determined to get it unlocked so it was ready for the next time so I tried again after I was finished drying my hair. It took an insane amount of effort to get the pump top to unlock and spring up. The pump issue is preventing me from giving the product 5 stars.

This stuff is amazing. I was worried it would be stiff as it’s a gel. Not stiff at all!!! Lift and added body is awesome. I was using a mousse product and it was drying out my hair and no longer giving any extra body. This product has made my hair feel light while full and fluffy!!! Love love love

Like others said, did not leave hair crunchy which was good. There was some volume on its own, but did not last more than a day or so. Tried again with the root pump plus and I feel like it weighed hair down. I ended up returning and will stick to the root pump plus
