It was fairly easy to programmed this remote. Initially I was hesitant to do it myself. I called a few places in my area and I got quoted between $60-$130. After watching a few videos on YouTube, it was actually fairly easy to programmed it. Really happy with the purchase.

This is the second one we've bought. We have two vehicles that have them. We've bought each one a replacement. Easy to set up. Durability could be a little better. We are hard on them and they have last a few years. We will continue to buy this product when needed.

Bought used one. It worked.Pain in the ass to pair to my vehicle but that’s just how viper sets it up.Hold the viper button your vehicle after having it on with just accessories(motor off) until the light is blinking every 2 seconds. Then put your remote in pairing mode by pressing the “f” for 8 seconds and then pressing the “Aux” to flip through the menu until you get to pair and then press the “f” until you sense its in pairing mode, then press the lock button and u should get a reaction. You have a window period of 30 seconds to do it. If you don’t get it in the time frame you have to restart the process. I’m not a professional and took my 6 tries and 10 minutes.Well worth it and the range is a mile but being in the open. If you’re in a building it’s more like 1/4 to 1/2 a mile.Looks nice but bulky.

I had issues trying to pair the remote to my existing alarm. I followed the instructions to the "T" but eventually had to go to Best Buy to get it paired. They told me I was doing it right but you have to complete each step within a second or you have to start over.

I got this to replace my Clifford 7752x 2-way remote.This remote IS compatible with yourClifford System 50.7xTook a few tries to pairI noticed that around step 4 of the programming instructions my alarm system(Clifford) would chirp a few times and even after performing everything correctly and doing all the steps I would still get a “failed pairing” screen.I realize that once you initiated the pairing on the Control Center it would be around 20seconds before the random chirping would start.If you have this same issue in trying to pair this remote to your Clifford system, Memorize the pairing sequence on the instructions with the remote and do it swiftly right after you press the control center.I recommend looking up the VIPER Manuel for this remote model to know it’s full use.I was able to setup the clock, change LCD color to red, etc.Screen comes with a thin film protector that you may NOT notice is there but it is, it does scratch fairly easily but it’s the film on top of the actual screen so oh well. $6-$10 at Walmart can replace the film.Paired well. Works great. For the price, it does its job and it beats spending 300+

Reasonable price for the remote replacement. Had to replace my original Viper 2 way remote of the same model. Watched a video on YouTube after searching on Google on how to pair a new remote with my current alarm system. Has many colors and setting to program which is wonderful. I love the 2 -Way alarm setting that warns you of anything happening to your car while you’re away from it. Helped me catch someone who almost did a hit and run on my car in my work parking lot.

Our other remote was dropped several times over the years, and while it still worked I thought it would be good to replace it before it completely stopped working. This is an exact replacement for the Viper remote that we have, it wasn't too hard to pair with the current system myself. If you don't have any experience with technology this may be a bit difficult but doable with instructions. I love the idea of remote start and use this almost on a daily basis, especially when it's cold out. I like the response to let me know my car has started and the picture to look at that lets me know whether the car is locked or unlocked.

I bought this to replace the one that got broken during work. After several attempts to pair it with my system, I concluded that it was never going to pair up. I sent it back for a refund. Directed wants $300 for the remote. At that price, it is less expensive to buy a new alarm system, which makes me wonder if Directed has made the remotes so fragile, and so expensive, with the idea that customers would be forced to buy new alarm systems on a regular basis. I really like the Viper alarms, but Directed has non-existent customer support. Directed requires installation to be done by an authorized installer. Unfortunely, Directed failed to make sure the authorized installers are actually qualified to do the work, a problem I have been dealing with for two years now with my current alarm system. The first installer was going to cut the OEM wire harness apart, trace the wires to the ECM, and remove the ECM. Removing the ECM would have left my truck completely dead. The second installer seemed to know what he was doing, however, the driver-side priority would not work, nor did the dome light, valet mode, or the lock without arming feature. All of these were suppose to function. The installer said my truck did not support these features. Strange, since the features worked with the OEM controller before the installation of the alarm. I am going to give Directed one more chance, but the next installer had better be able to produce documentation that he has had factory training for the installation of the specific system I want. If Directed can't produce that level of training in the installers, and won't allow me to do the installation myself ( I install stereos, GPS, VHF, and integrate GPS/VHF systems to transmit cordinates when the Emergency button is pushed), I will have no choice but to change to a different alarm manufacturer. After all, the best alarm is worthless if not installed correctly, and clearly Directed's authorized installers are not qualified to do installations correctly.
Works like a charm!
I have only been using the remote for a month but it works like it's supposed to.Pairing it to the vehicle was easy and it's nice to have it since our last one just stopped working after years of use.
