5.0 out of 5 stars Good product
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } Took care of my squeaky brakes when I changed the brake pads but not the rotors.
5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT Cure for Squeaky Bike Disk Brakes!
My son spilled break fluid on his bike brakes, so they were churping and squealing very loud. I saw a video on YouTube were you apply this to both sides of the rotors after cleaning them thoroughly. You then ride the bike with each brake applied so the brakes heat up. Did the trick!
5.0 out of 5 stars Works great
I used this on my ebike to get rid of the squeaky breaks. It took about 2 blocks of working the brakes and the squeak was gone.
1.0 out of 5 stars It didn’t work
This product didn’t work for me. The brakes on my car are still squeaking. It was a waste of my money.
4.0 out of 5 stars Finally something that may help-pricey though
Willing to give this a try next pad replacement. I will follow up if it works. Seems rather high priced. The metal is fine aluminum power carried in a vehicle like paint. Of course brake rotors are steel not aluminum. So I will see how this helps or if it does not help. Wanted to try it and also keep a can of "Disc Brake Quiet" on hand. CRC is Thee company for brake chemicals.
3.0 out of 5 stars Worked for a short time
This product was used on my 2007 Tundra with 60,000 miles. I cleaned the brake calipers and pads well first with another CRC product. Then I applied this De-Squeak product liberally on brake parts and rotors. It worked well for the first two days, but the squeak has slowly come back. I'll have my brakes checked as I always do when I get my oil changed. Maybe it will be time to replace the pads. Just wanted to get rid of the annoying squeak for the next couple months and unfortunately, this product did not help a lot. I might try to give it one more treatment, but since I am going in for an oil change in the next month, I might just have them replace the pads and rotors, even if it isn't quite time yet. Sqeaky brakes are so annoying and I really was hoping this product would work a bit longer.
5.0 out of 5 stars Wait a year for this!
I use this on all my brake changes where I have new rotors! During the pandemic, this product became unavailable everywhere. Even after the pandemic, I waited a year or more.!!! and finally just became available so I got some more!!!!
2.0 out of 5 stars Incredible to garbage.
From incredible to a total let down. I own high end European luxury cars and SUVs. When changing pads and rotors I always use either OEM or an OEM supplier pad and rotor combos. Occasionally some vehicles can develop a brake squeak with low pressure. This was the case on a 2018 Land Rover Discovery so I tried this spray and so far it's magic. Here is what I did. I lightly coated every exposed surface portion of the discs. I waited about 10 min or so for it to set up. I also sprayed a couple light coats to insure enough product was on the disc. After 10 min or so I re installed the wheel and moved to the other side. Repeat. After the second side was done I slowly backed the car out of the garage and proceeded to drive it very slow around the block. I went 10 mph and applied very slight brake pressure about 8-10 or so times in total. Occasionally there was a slight sticky feeling at the end of the brake progression. But ZERO squeak. I then parked the vehicle back in my driveway for another 5 min to give it a bit more time to set up. After this I proceeded to take the vehicle on 35-45 mph roads and drive it normally with medium brake pressure. Again ZERO squeak or squeal. Then I drove it a couple days and it's back to squeaking, maybe worse than before now actually. A total bummer.
Works
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } Works really well on my motorcycle, not much more to say.
Save your money - this product doesn't work
I followed the instructions and first it caused poor breaking issues, then it caused the brake pads to stick, the noise went away for about a day, then the noise came back twice as bad as prior to using this product.NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL.
Spray can without a nozzle
The dispenser is a pressurized spray can. It arrived without a spray nozzle. No reply from the supplier and when I tried to return it I was told that I could not because it is flammable. I have no idea if the product is good or not. It’s certainly useless to me and I will avoid these guys in the future.
