They work great and the gel does hold up for a longggg time. My old one still felt good, but after like 4 or 5 yrs of use when I sat on the new one I noticed a little bit of a difference. Anyhow, great seats and also. I've been over 220lbs the whole time I have owned the original and new ones.
5.0 out of 5 stars A Smaller, Nearly Perfect Compromise To A Full-Blown Comfort Seat.
My son (and my wife for that matter) cannot stand those skinny uncomfortable seats that most mountain bikes have. I don't mind, but then again, they don't ride as much as I do, so they are not used to it. So, before I rebuilt one of our old TREK bikes which will have included a new seat, I decided to look into what's out there in terms of comfort and, for that lack of a better term, sportiness. I wanted something comfortable yet still compact -- a not-so-big seat that would not overpower the rest of the bike, in other words.When it comes to aftermarket parts and accessories for bikes, things like bags and handle bars and whatnot, I really like what Sunlite has to offer. They offer stuff of the highest quality at affordable prices, and their line of CLOUD 9 comfort seats are no different.As for the seat:According to my son who rides the bike the most, he thinks that this seat is very comfortable. I believe now that he will actually ride this bike more often. My wife, too, thinks that it is better than most seats, but she also thinks that it is still not as comfortable as a full-blown comfort seat with their wide saddle and spring-loaded goodness. It's true, this seat is a compromise, but a pretty darn good compromise, nonetheless. Though a huge comfort seat would have made this particular bike look weird, like a big UFO had landed on the seat post.The color scheme of the seat is neutral, with its colors of grey and dark grey. It should look fine on a wide range of bikes.It comes with one of those old-school seat post clamps, but you can take it off and use the more modern clamp that is already built on to newer seat posts. By the way, Sunlite makes really great, high-quality seat posts too.The foam top is very comfortable; it's very squishy. And the rubber-bumper style springs work continually while you pedal, slightly rocking back and forth with each leg pump, not to mention too that they absorb a ton of bumps on really rocky ground.My only beef is that heavier folks like me who weigh over 200 pounds can really give those rubber springs quite a workout. It seems to me that I am either bottoming them out or that they are under a lot of stress when riding over the harshest of terrain. It's a somewhat annoying feeling. They also make that familiar sound when springs are under stress, sorta like a grinding noise. Though, I'm sure this would be true for all comfort seats, and that I probably would bottom out all but the most springiest of them. Then again, I'm so used to a rigid seat, that a seat like this would probably just take time to get used to. Sunlite makes the very same CLOUD 9 seat but WITHOUT the rubber springs. So, perhaps that might be the way to go if you are heavy. Either that or get a full-blown, monstrous comfort seat.If you want a more modern-looking comfort seat that isn't the size of a UFO but still provides plenty of squishy comfort, then you really can't go wrong here. Highly Recommended!

I can strongly recommend this bike saddle if you're not too particular about adding size and weight to your ride. I've been riding a bike for 50+ years and am no longer concerned about having the fastest, lightest, or sleekest ride. That said, I still want a bike with reasonable performance. I'm on a true hybrid: Basso (with Reynolds 531) frame, salvaged Campy components from an old Motobecane Super Champion, some sort of medium quality rims. Put on a longer goose neck and conventional handlebars instead of the bullhorn bars because I want to sit up taller while riding so I can see and be seen better. But I've gotten too old to spend much time on a smaller, lighter saddle. My old one wore out and I thought i'd try the Sunlite Cloud 9 because the price was quite reasonable and I was hoping for something a little softer and more forgiving underneath me. So far, this saddle does the trick. The contours of the saddle spread the body weight evenly and the cutouts on it remove some pressure from the tender parts. The gel does add comfort without making the ride sloppy. The springs on the underside are stiff enough so I don't bounce while riding, but when I hit a bump or some uneven surface I feel that I'm absorbing less impact. It is larger than my old one (kind of cruiser bike size) and heavier, and if those are a concern then you probably won't like the Cloud 9. However, if you're looking for a little more comfort and don't mind adding a little extra weight, you could do far worse than this.

Havent riden a bicycle in over 20years. I got a new bike and tried the stock Walmart Genesis saddle, tried a MTB saddle, tried a generic wide extra squishy saddle on Bolo, this is the one to get. I attempted to measure my sit bone width and figure out correct height and distance of the saddle and it was a nuisance, got the Mens Cloud9 saddle, installed with no effort in a relatively more downward slopping angle and it just works. No soreness, great bounce to it even on my mountain bike, wide enough for 170lb man.

I feel much better at the end of the ride( usually 30+kms). This seat is a bit wide for extreme biking but i am used to it now. Will never use another seat brand. Scratched mounting hardware
The seat wasn’t attached to the cardboard display. The mounting bolt and nuts are scratched and it looks like they were used. Seems to me that I received a previously returned seat, and paid full price. I attached the seat using the rails only, no using the scratched pieces, so the seat looks great and is comfortable. Just shouldn’t have been changed full price.
