It made me question whether I was actually absorbing any of it or if it was just passing through me. After doing some research, I learned that without the proper minerals, your body can’t effectively absorb water at the cellular level. That’s when I decided to try Trace Minerals 40,000 Volts.I add about 20 drops to a 32-ounce water bottle, and while you can definitely taste a difference, it’s not unpleasant. It’s just slightly altered, and for me, it’s not a deterrent at all. I did try using 40 drops once, but the taste was too strong—so I’d recommend starting small and adjusting based on your preference.Since adding this to my water, I’ve noticed a huge difference. If you want more non-jittery, clean energy (with many, many more benefits), this is IT!!! I stumbled across this stuff looking for an alternative to electrolyte powders & I’ve been blown away by how much better I feel. I just turned 50, have been in full blown menopause for a couple of years &, as a professional horse trainer & running/tending our animal sanctuary - I have a busy, very physical lifestyle. There’s not a time that I can remember that I ever felt like I had enough gas in my tank & getting through my day - even though I love what I do - has always been an exercise in endurance & will power. Along with perimenopause came some pretty severe ADHD symptoms as well & “the struggle” has been all too real for a very long time. I use lots of great supplements, eat a very carefully curated diet, exercise on top of my high daily activity & do all the things you’re supposed to - but, even though I feel much better doing those things than I would if I didn’t, I’ve been dragging. I’m very grateful for the relatively strong & comfortable body that I have - but despite my best efforts (emphasis on effort), I have had low back pain, mild dizziness, constant fatigue, frequent brain fog, more & more episodes of lack of &/or hyper-focus & a continuing decline in overall mental & physical pep that’s caused me to need more & more sleep, which leaves me still feeling pretty blah. HOWEVER, I’m very excited that all of that has been rapidly changing since I started using 40,000 Volts. I’m onto my 2nd week of use & I feel better than I have in many years - in truth, I don’t remember ever feeling this good. I’m well aware that we’re all mineral deficient, but I thought that I had been compensating adequately for that with supplements & nutrition - obviously, I was wrong. It took me a couple of days to notice, but my back pain has subsided, my flakiness has largely disappeared & the energy I have is nothing short of incredible. Instead of nodding off at 7 or 8PM, now, I’m enthusiastically starting another project & I wake up before my 5AM alarm feeling rested & ready to go. It’s not fidgety, twitchy, speedy energy - I simply feel alert, appropriately focused & productive. As many reviewers have mentioned, it tastes awful - I know from previous experience that this is probably because I needed it so badly - minerals can be unpleasant on the palette when our body doesn’t recognize them - because it’s starting to taste better the longer I use it. I wouldn’t say it tastes great now, but it’s much milder. I would suggest mixing a teaspoon into an ounce or so of water, taking it like a shot & chasing with more water - it doesn’t have an aftertaste & this method makes it so that you only have about half a second of yuck to deal with - WELL worth it for the benefits! Everyone & every body is different - there’s a possibility that you won’t have the same results that I have, but I strongly feel that this is worth a try for anyone & definitely commit to give it some time do it’s magic. This is one of the best additions to my routine I’ve made in a long time!*Update mid-February - after a couple of months of use, I’m continuing to feel the benefits. I’m still only half way through my first bottle, so the value is pretty great - less than $5/month, when I was spending more than that in A WEEK on my previous electrolyte supplement & didn’t notice much, if any difference.

It’s my favorite electrolyte source ever. Hands down, it’s the healthiest, most effective, and cost effective product out there. I can’t stand how sugary they make electrolytes these days and although this is salty, and it is, when I taste it in my water I CRAVE it. I drink way more water every day because of this product. I finally got my husband to try it because we were out of the packets and now he’s hooked too!

I have repurchased this many times. I used it while I was pregnant and now 9 months pp and still pumping. If you can't do the sweet hydration packets or want to take a break every once in a while from the sweetness, this is a great way to add minerals and electrolytes to your water. Sometimes the flavored and sweetened powder (even sugar free) can make my stomach a little queasy and these have not.

I drink distilled water and had been looking for a high-quality source of minerals and electrolytes. This is great and the taste is not bad at all, similar to the slightly salty taste of commercial electrolyte drinks. I would definitely recommend it. I just finished my first bottle and have three in reserve.

I use this product every morning and throughout the day. Every morning, I start my day with a hot vitamin C drink and a squeeze of these of these minerals. Later in the day, I make a water bottle with a splash of OJ and another squeeze of 40,000 Volts. I have noticed after one week the my skin is more hydrated and my bathroom routines have been eased.The taste is strong and salty which is why I don't like to take it in water alone.
