I was hesitant to buy this for my 2 year old son's birthday because about the reviews of it not being very durable and being cheaply made. I went ahead and bought it anyways because of my son's obsession with our vacuum and push toys in general. I was pleasantly surprised!! It is exactly what you would expect for a toy vacuum. No, the suction isn't great, but it's battery operated and safe. Sure, some of the pieces fall off, but that's what happens when you bang plastic against the wall with brute force. The front piece has actually only fell off once on us and that was after a hard hit against the wall. It took a whole 3 seconds to attach it right back on. This was my son's favorite birthday toy and he plays with it for hours! Very happy with this toy--his 3 year old and 6 year old brother love it, too.

I got this for my toddler, who just wants to be like mommy! It has the sound and movement of a vacuum. It is the perfect gift for any toddler if you ask me!

I bought this for my 2 year old knowing it was 3 and up so I didn't have many expectations. My son loved it, it looks just like ours and he became obsessed with it for several days. It lasted awhile, but alas the rigors of play with a 2 year old finally broke it down. The front piece came off a bunch but was readily put back on. The hose is removable but a bit of a challenge to get back on, at least for him. He ended up breaking it there trying to slam it back in place. Also the battery door broke the very first time I tried to unscrew it. The screw securing it actually snapped off and broke so I could have just duct taped it and moved on but I left it off. He was having so much fun playing with it without the noise I figured we could save the batteries for something else. Yes it does have slight suction from the hose, don't buy it thinking it'll be anything more than a fun toy. I'll buy him another one, but not this one with the hose, in hopes it'll last a bit longer.

I read the other reviews and ignored them. I wanted THIS vacuum cleaner because it looks like our real Dyson and my 2 year old is in love with using it to vacuum. I knew this would thrill him. And it did. Until it broke within the first 5 minutes. And continued to break 15 more times before we left for my parents' house yesterday afternoon. I asked my sister (who also bought this toy for her 2 year old son) if theirs had broken several times that morning and she agreed it had. And I am not talking about the suction function. I didn't even put batteries in it. I am referring to the other parts. The handle won't stay connected, the hose won't stay connected to the handle, and the front portion (where stuff sucks up into) won't stay attached. Those three pieces continued to fall off, over and over, and OVER again. It wouldn't stay put together for even 3 minutes and he was only pushing it around the living room and kitchen. I also want to throw in there that this vacuum is really little. It looks much larger online but it's tiny. Almost too small for my little boy who is 35" tall.play. break. scream. fix. REAPEAT.DO NOT BUY THIS TOY. You'll be sorry you wasted your money!

I bought this for my 11 month old son because he is obsessed with my vacuum. I chose this one over all of the other toy vacuum's because it looks, sounds and feels like a real vacuum. When it was delivered, I pulled it out of the box and put the handle upright in the spot its supposed to slide into and I broke it. It is made of the cheapest, thinnest plastic of any toy I have ever seen or had. I was able to super glue it back together, but I shouldn't have had to. Toys are usually made to be able to withstand a child throwing, dropping, kicking it, etc. The entire toy is made of this cheap, thin plastic. The suction on it doesn't work at all. I tried using it to suck up a feather and it wouldn't even suck that up. My son loves this toy because he loves vacuum's in general. I just don't expect it to last very long. I'm sure it will be broken soon and for almost $50, it wasn't worth it.

I read some reviews prior to buying and was disturbed to see parents saying the suction sucks.. Um it's a toy, it's not meant for you lazy parents to put your kids to actual work and clean your house while you sit on your butts eating Bon bons.. Seriously? Suction sucks? Seriously? Who is getting a toy vacuum to have their kid actually vacuum? Child labor is illegal here folks. Hire a maid!So anyways into the review. The vacuum looks like my real dyson (which I use to vacuum not my kids ha). My son follows me around the entire house with his dyson to "vacuum" it's fun and hilarious. He vacuums everyday with his little dyson and my daughter and him both love to play with this! My kids are 19 months and 3. I definitely recommend it.
Poor quality already broken
Doesn’t work like a real dyson only sucks air from the pipe not from the bottom of the vacuum. Started making a loud noise on 2nd day of having it and also the front part constantly falls off. Waste of money
