If someone REALLY wanted to break into it, they could, but for keeping inexpensive things safe, like your lights or gloves, it's perfect. I got it to keep my batteries in for my ebike. Just a word of warning for anyone else doing that, don't keep your controllers in there unless you have a way to keep them cool, and that goes for keeping batteries in there too, just not as much as those motor cables. They were the actual point of failure (they caught on fire going up a hill). Needless to say, now I only keep the batteries in the box, controllers on the outside. I gave it 4 stars because the mounting brackets didn't line up right, I had to use zip ties to mount it - kinda jenky, but that could have been human error, too. My workspace was a mess when I installed it, so I may have misplaced a bit. It's no wider than the profile of the bike, which I also like, because my bike already has hella baskets and bags hanging off of it, it didn't need to be any more ridiculous than it already was, and yet, each day is ever more ridiculous than the last. Whatever shall I do? Damn, it's already 7:08, I need to stop writing Bolo reviews while I'm high, because now my dum ass is late for work. I'm bout to go get on my bike, and I sure am glad I know my batteries are safely secured in this lock box, so I don't have to worry about whether they got stolen last night. 💥 mic drop 💥Be safe y'all!

It was too bulky for back bike rack. And although free shipping and handling when I bought it on Bolo, it cost me $18 to ship it back to Bike Liquidators. So much for Bolo!

Fits great on the back of my bike, lightweight but durable, doesn't weigh down ride. Had to improvise and drill different holes, but made it work.

I've had two of these cases for 8 years and I just ordered another one because they seem hard to find and I plan on a buying another bike next year. I like that this is a hard case and lockable case as I carry tools and tubes on long bike rides. My only complaint is that the clamp that holds the side down sometimes dislodges and has to be re-installed. Someday I expect it will pop out and break or I will loose the part. I can still lock the box, so this is not a fatal defect, but still significant. You need to be a bit handy to install it, as each rack is unique and you may need to make an adjustment. I go shopping on my bike several times a week. I use the Ibera rack and panier system. This system has removeable paniers. Its a tight fit with the case, but the combination works well.
