Solenoid Installation
Shut Off Water and Power
Turn off the main water supply to your irrigation system and ensure no power is going to the valve.
Disconnect the Wires
Either cut the wires or unscrewing the wire nuts to remove the solenoid.
Remove the Solenoid
Turn the solenoid counterclockwise to detach.
Inspect the small port where the solenoid sits for debris or clogs. Rinse the solenoid thoroughly and check the O-ring for any damage.
Install the New Solenoid
Turn the replacement solenoid clockwise and hand-tighten, being careful not to overtighten.
Restore water flow by turning the main water supply back on. Then, rotate the solenoid 1/4 turn counterclockwise to allow water to flow.
