About Traditional Medicinals
In early 1974, three young friends started Traditional Medicinals® in the back store room of a small herb shop along the Russian River in Northern California. The company was founded with the intention of providing herbal teas for self care, while preserving the knowledge and herbal formulas of Traditional Herbal Medicine (THM). At the time, traditional herbal tea infusions had all but faded away in the United States. And never before had these reliable formulas been available in convenient tea bags. Over the decades that followed, the company introduced millions of health conscious consumers to traditional herbal tea formulas and the concepts of THM. These reliable natural teas were well received and Traditional Medicinals® has grown dramatically.

I've never had issues with constipation but the last year months or so it's been getting consistently worse. Apparently, it's possible to build up a tolerance to the pills/remedies that help this. I was down to the strongest remedy (Exlax) and while it definitely and consistently works, it's not my preference. Also, I was afraid at some point Exlax would no longer work either.So I searched again and thankfully this tea popped up! It's recommended to take it in the evening but I drank some this morning at 11 am and within two hours I had movement. Now, 6 hours later, all has been evacuated. If I didn't know I drank this tea I wouldn't notice anything different about my toilet time. Extremely natural excavation lol.I highly recommend this! I will continue to use it. I hope I don't build a tolerance to it. Hopefully the opposite will happen and my body will do its job without the help of this tea. Also, others mentioned it's too sweet or sweet. I find I barely taste any flavors at all. I use a cup about 2-3 times a standard tea cup but others teas I drink are not nearly as weak. This could be a positive as everyone prefers different flavors. Overall, it's spectacular!

I use this tea on a weekly basis, or as needed (if I'm feeling bloated or "heavy"), one bag will do the trick. In order to get the most effective results, I recommend steeping COVERED in no more than 1 cup of water for 15-20 minutes, squeeze all the liquid you can without tearing the bag, (I use a Tea Bag Buddy http://www.Bolo.com/Primula-Tea-Bag-Buddy-Green/dp/B005M8GFFO/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1395248931&sr=8-10&keywords=primula+tea ) to cover my mug and squeeze the bag. The most effective and valuable components of the tea, are found in the liquid you squeeze out of the bag. I use about 3/4 cup of boiling water, and then, after removing and squeezing the bag, I add another 1/4 cup of cold water. I drink my tea cold, as I like the naturally sweet flavor of it when it's cold, rather than the semi-bitter taste when it is hot or warm. Once I add the cold water, I chug it down quickly, followed by a full glass of water. I do this right before bedtime (between 9:00 and 10:00PM), and voila, in the morning, a Smooth Move indeed. *If I do not follow the tea with a glass of water, I tend to have a bit of discomfort/cramping in the morning, but with the water, I don't get the cramping.I find that if you brew this tea with more than 1 cup of water, it is less effective, but if it is your first time drinking the tea, I would suggest doing it on a weekend, or when you know you won't be going anywhere early the next morning. I recommended this to a friend and he didn't see any "action" until the following evening. He now steeps it in 1/2 cup of water for 20-25 minutes. I recommended it to another friend, and she had a bit too much of a reaction, so she steeps it for only 10 minutes and uses more water.Since metabolisms vary from person to person, I suggest testing it out first, see how your body reacts, and tweak it until you find your desired results. Just don't give up on it the first time, and be sure to drink a lot of water the following day. Keeping hydrated at all times is important, but especially if you are detoxing.Smooth Moves!

I've read a lot about Smooth Move Tea and how some people use it on occasion to help with bloating. I was prepping for a beach vacation when I decided to try this out.Just a side note: I work out regularly - weights, HIIT, cardio, yoga, etc. I also track my macros. Yet I do still occasionally struggle with what seems like general bloating.This tea definitely helped!I was flying out for my vacation on a Thursday morning. So I drank my first cup of Smooth Move Tea on the Monday evening before, at approx 8pm. I had a bowel movement the following morning around 7:30am - nothing super excessive, just a good bowel movement.I drank my second cup of tea on Tuesday evening, also around 8pm. I had 2 separate bowel movements the following morning along with some mild cramping. These bowel movements were much larger in amount yet softer in consistency.I drank my third and final cup of tea on Wednesday evening, again around 8pm. I was slightly hesitant about drinking this last cup of tea since I knew I would be traveling the next day and didn't want to be stuck in the bathroom on an airplane. But I drank it anyway. I had another 2 bowel movements on Thursday morning with again, some mild cramping. Both of these were still early in the day - around 7am and 8:30am.I felt great the rest of Thursday! I did not experience any additional cramping or bowel movements that interfered with my day. I continued to maintain my regular diet and water intake throughout this time and did not experience any dehydration symptoms. I also did not have any issues returning to "normal" after the third day of Smooth Move Tea. Since then, my vacation went great (check out that rocking bikini pic - the first one I'm actually proud of) and I've returned to my usual routine.I do not plan on drinking this tea on a regular basis. I would use it again when I wanted to slim down, reduce bloat, or if I was feeling backed-up.I do have to say the taste of this tea a bit different. I have not tasted anything quite like it before. It's not a bad taste and I actually grew to prefer it after the third cup.
