Has great hold and keeps your hair style pretty much the same throughout the day. It has no scent and does not leave the hair feeling greasy at all. The only sort of knock that I found was that it takes a little extra effort to wash off but it’s not difficult. One of the best hair products I’ve used.

My husband swears by this hair wax—and I have to admit, it works great. It gives his hair a clean, polished look without making it stiff or greasy. The hold lasts all day, but it still looks natural and touchable. Plus, it smells really nice without being overpowering. Easy win for both of us!

This is my go-to hair cream for a soft pliable hold (great sublte scent) without any greasiness or sheen. I have medium length, thin hair, parted and brushed back in a conservative business look. Lots of people have already reviewed this product, so I won't belabor its awesomeness here but rather wanted to share a tip on how I use it as prior to using this method I had all but sworn off it for many years.My main issue came from converting the solid product into semi-liquid one that could be hand applied in my hair. The method in the instructions never worked well for me, I would end up with clumps of "creme" in my hair that I would have to carefully brush out (lest I go to work with an errant clump in the back or somewhere!), it would waste product and it was generally frustrating as I am trying to get to work and not spend an hour dissolving this wax in the palm of my hand.So I ended up pre-mixing the creme with water in a plastic container made for liquid soaps or shampoos. I take a couple chunks, put it into the bottle, then add hot water (the hotter the better but not so hot as to melt the bottle) and furiously shake it around for 60 seconds or so. For better emulsification add a couple of marbles or small items like that. With the right mix (from trial and error but start with less water and add until you like the consistency) I end up with a semi-gel that I easily squeeze into my hand, mix and apply to my hair.I know it seems so simple but I love it, no frustration, no chunks of creme here and there, and I find that it extends the value I get from a relatively expensive little tub of creme.

I love American Crew's Fiber. I have been using it for over 7 years now.- It provides a natural matte look (as opposed to the "wet hair" look of gels and pomades). Just use a small amount (I use more than a pea size - about two small peas) and warm it up by rubbing your palms together. Then play and style your hair with your palms, as you desire. If you want, you can always add some more. Don't over-do it, though; it won't look natural.- If you want a slightly sleek look, you can moisten your hair lightly and then apply the wax. But the product provides almost zero hold with damp hair.- Since you will be using a tiny amount, the puck-sized can will last you about 4-6 months (depending on your usage).- It is not water-proof, which I like. This means that I don't need to shampoo my hair to get it out of my hair.- You can get rid of it from your palms and fingers by simply washing with water and soap.- If you run your hands through your hair later during the day, it doesn't "stick" to your hand; I like that.- In the can, the wax is quite soft and is not tough like mustache waxes (which require you to run them under hot water to soften the wax, or use a blow-dryer to soften the wax in the can). It is not fluid-like and won't fall or move even if you keep the can upside-down at normal temperatures.- I love its lemon-sage scent; it is subtle and not over-powering. It doesn't smell nasty like so many other hair products filled with mostly artificial ingredients.- It works best with very short and short hair (up to 2.5 inches). You can style the hair any way you want and it will maintain its shape. You can lay it down or spike it up or try a short pomp. If you want a more "fuller" look, ask your barber or stylist to add "texture" to your hair (this means, they will either thin it with thinning shears or a razor, or point cut it at an angle to give it a "choppiness". With choppy hair, the Fiber will work really well in giving a fuller look).- It provides a strong hold for short hair (not screaming strong hold, though).- With longer hair, it is sometimes a challenge. Laying it down works best for long hair; but if you want to spike your longer hair up, this will not work. It is not meant to, so I don't blame it.- My hair is mostly straight, but gets slightly wavy when over 3 inches (at which point, I get it cut shorter and then can use Fiber).- It does not work for styling your mustache. Again, it is not meant to, so I don't blame it. I tried it, but it failed miserably in achieving a handlebar mustache.- Is it the best hair product out there for a matte look? Definitely not! There are many others which provide stronger hold and work on longer hair as well. But still, Fiber does the job really well in its category and I still use it because it works well with my hair.To sum up: good matte look providing, water-proof lemon-sage smelling hair wax for short hair up to 2.5 inches.

This has been my go-to pomade/styling cream for about a decade now. I have tried a few others from Aveda, Fat Hair, Mitch, Paul Mitchell, and others that I can't remember. I always come back to this. I have also tried the other pomades from American Crew and found that they just don't suit my hair well.Fiber doesn't have any shine and my hair never looks like it has any product in it -- a very natural look. It does tend to make hair look fuller and "clumpy", if that makes sense. The hold is moderate; if you need additional hold, you might want a quick spritz of hair spray afterward. When it gets really humid or wet, I find it still holds but not as well as hair spray can. I will caution you that if you use this product and sweat profusely, or routinely get soaking wet, it can run down your forehead a bit and cause breakouts. You should also exercise caution when applying it, because if you're sloppy and get it on your forehead you can bet on a few whiteheads there the next day.Seriously though, use this stuff sparingly. My hair is quite short (1 in. or less, typically) and I use a pea-sized amount for my whole head. I read a lot of complaints here about how someone hair felt very oily and sticky after using this, to which I would say that you overused the product. Even with daily use, this 3 oz. tub lasts me 6 months or longer. Also, when applying, be sure to rub it into your hands for a few seconds to activate it and ensure you don't get a big clump of it into your hair.Using it sparingly also means it will rinse very easily. Overuse is pretty obvious -- if you run your hands through your hair (or get a lady-friend to), your hands will feel waxy.

Ich war bei einem Freund zu Besuch, morgens im Bad, als ich dieses kleine, unauffällige Fiber-Gel von American Crew entdeckte. „Probier’s ruhig aus“, meinte er – und was soll ich sagen? Zehn Minuten später sah mein Haar besser aus als nach manchem Friseurbesuch.Textur & Halt:Das Gel hat eine cremige Konsistenz, lässt sich super verteilen und verleiht Struktur, ohne zu kleben oder zu glänzen. Der Halt ist stark, aber flexibel – kein betonierter Look, sondern kontrolliertes, lässiges Styling, das den ganzen Tag hält. Und: Keine Rückstände, kein Crunch-Effekt wie bei billigem Gel.Duft:Dezent, maskulin, ein bisschen wie Barbershop – genau mein Ding. Nicht aufdringlich, aber präsent genug, dass man sich gepflegt fühlt.Preis:Ja, es ist teurer als das Drogerie-Gel für 2,99 €, aber: Man braucht wirklich wenig davon, es funktioniert einfach jedes Mal, und es hinterlässt weder fettige Haare noch weiße Rückstände.
