One was about 1.5" thick and the other about 3/4" thick. Stripes were plastic material as used on cars for decades, held on with adhesive. They had several places where objects in the water tore through them. Overall it took about two hours to remove both stripes and boat looks much better. Still have about 1/3rd of the wheel left. Another great product from 3M, pricey but worth it!

This 3M Stripe Off Wheel worked amazingly well for removing old pinstripes and stubborn double-sided tape. It made the job quick and easy, and best of all, no damage to the paint at all. The wheel is super effective but gentle, and the threaded mandrel made it easy to attach to my drill. If you're dealing with decals, vinyl, or adhesive residue, this tool is a must-have. Definitely a great addition to any garage or detailing kit!

Always heard about these wheels, never tried one. Had a cooked on decal adhesive that not even a plastic razor blade would remove. This thing did the job quick with zero scuffing of the paint clear coat. Incredible

I bought two, but in reality, one would have been plenty. It cleaned up the residue from a vinyl sticker on my car without drama.

Worked well did the job, had a huge oxidized faded decal on front of 5th wheel that needed removed. However this is very pricey in comparison to the TCP, you can get 4 of those wheels for half the price so for 1/8th the price you are buying a PRC made item over 3M made in Mexico. Your choice I blew through 3 of the TCP and 2 3M wheels performed very comparabe, both was way better than the other style mividie "eraser" type

Just as described, worked great on taking all 3M sticker adhesive on vent shades, a little dusty, but cleaning up with a breeze nothing wrong with the product well worth the money it will not hurt the plastic or hurt the paint

The wheel worked good only AFTER I SPENT 30 MINUTES making it round/concentric to the arbor. Quality control is disappointing. I paid a premium for the 3M product with expectations of quality. The wheel was 3/16" different from high to low spot. It could not be used out of package as it would shake your tool violently. I expect better when I purchase 3M products. For the price of this product, the factory should spin it in house and grind off the high spots so I can use it when I open the package.

Le produit est de bonne qualité mais malheureusement celui-ci ne fonctionne pas du tout pour enlever des bandes adhésives 3M qui sont bien collées et qui ont durée dans le temps.Par exemple, j'ai collé des bandes adhésives 3M sur des lames (bas de caisse) et celles-ci ont durée dans le temps. En essayant la meule, celle-ci enlève que dalle.

Removed all reflective marking tape from a Transit van

I cannot stress how effective and timesaving this 3m stripe off wheel is. Finally a tool that lives up to the description. It has removed the red vinyl reflective tape from round the rear doors of a transit van, then yellow on one side x2 lines and silver on bonnet and upper roof panel in a couple of hours using a cordless drill, started with slowest speed and just increased till it was working efficiently. No glue residue left behind just clean paintwork. Day 2 showed it will also work on Diamond Grade ECE 104 Reflective Tape and similar honeycomb reflective tape. Mine was double layered so the glue residue left behind after 3m wheel use needed softening with tar remover, the thick removed with a plastic scraper, then wiped over with a microfibre cloth and tar remover. Van is now back to stock and just needs a wash and polish. This 3m wheel is worth the cost, and it still has life in it for another job and another day.

Perfect vinyl sticker remover

Purchased to remove vinyl stripes on my Ford. Worked well. Take care on any plastic bumpers - it did take paint off for me but was due to my technique. No problems on the metal panels.
