I just finished Gideon's Book. I could not put it down. I read until 4:30am! I felt so connected to the characters that I had to find out what happened! It renewed my faith and hope in God, His Word and His ways.What a powerful and beautifully written story! The author weaves together so many details and connects them together in a heartfelt conclusion. Throughout the book the author illustrates the importance of honest conversations where people simply "pull up a chair" and talk about the hard things, reconciling relationships and redeeming lives in the process. A must read that will cause you to reflect on your life and how you interact with others, motivating you to have grace.

Miller, brings to light sensitive, challenging and tender subjects into one story. Written with a heart of compassion and faith, Gideon’s Book will enlighten, offer discussion opportunities, and extend hope to many that may be able to relate to the lives of the characters in the story.There are threads that run deep throughout Gideon’s Book that touched my heart. It has been beautifully written and conveys a message that has the potential to leave the reader with a perspective of understanding of life’s challenges for themselves or others. If life has brought you pain and sorrow through choices you’ve made or in situations beyond your control, this is a book written for you. Written in an engaging format, the author has woven together a story of three people whose lives intersected through difficult circumstances, but who all experienced the redeeming power of God’s love, grace and mercy. The detailed descriptions of time and place will draw you into the story, making you feel as though you too are part of it. Maureen Miller has written a compelling and impactfu debut novel.

One of the best books I've read in years! The author has written a beautiful story about redemption that shows how God works all things together for his good. She does not shy away from difficult topics but instead she invites you to "pull up a chair" and discuss these topics honestly in love. The characters are real and relatable and keep you engaged wanting to find out what happens next.
