I have a journal full of notes from this workbook. So many of the examples resonated with me and all the recommended practices were doable - even some of the Yoga stuff.May have been a bit skeptical before I read the first 3 pages and realized I really needed this book! It’s never going to be easy working through the hard stuff. But having a good guide that promotesself-love with practical activities may be a very good way to help anyone willing.

Finding ones codependency is a journey. I highly recommend this excellent source

3.0 out of 5 stars Not that helpful and mostly examples

s. · September 17, 2021

I was excited to find this book because it seems there are not many books on this topic but the book is mostly examples of extreme scenarios I couldn’t really relate to and a bunch of exercises which are not helpful that just ask you repetitive questions that are pretty common sense and were not insightful. The author also makes reference to another authors work every other sentence (no joke) so might as well just buy the book she is constantly referencing that is a top seller and more comprehensive. All in all disappointing as I was very much in need on a good book on this topic.

Hmmm...

Currently training to be a therapist. Some of the information and exercises seem useful but some of them actually seemed damaging and almost like it may in fact worsen the issue at hand... not convinced... cancelled order of another book by the same author.
