I’m about halfway through and the journaling prompts have encouraged me to dig deeper in scripture, my relationship with the Lord, and my own thoughts, feelings and goals. Highly recommend! It’s one I will gift to my daughters when they are older.

5 starsKnown by GodOur Daily BreadWhat an utterly wonderful devotional book on 40 women from the Bible. In-depth and powerful. This would make an excellent study or gift. I will be re-reading this one, as I am sure I did not absorb all the nuances of each story.I highly recommend it as a daily read or as an adjacent to your daily Bible reading.I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and Netgalley.

Known by God, 40 Devotions and Insights on Women of the Bible by Our Daily Bread is an excellent devotional. The format, background illustrations and insight of the commentaries following the scripture is wonderfully done. I especially liked how longer passages of scriptures was given instead on just one or two verses. The reflection and engagement questions gave pause so that one could ponder before honestly answering before the Lord and myself. I especially like the word study or insight into the times or traditions of the women.This is a devotional that I will reread again. I am thinking that it will be interesting to see how my thoughts and answers to the questions have changed over time. It is also a marvelous gift to a friend or family member. While this is a pdf for me to review, I will purchase a paper copy for myself. It is just that good.The publisher through Net Galley provided a complimentary digital copy. I have voluntarily decided to read and review, giving my personal opinions and thoughts.

Very Good DevotionalsThe women writers of Our Daily Bread has done an amazing job of providing this 40-Day Journal. Each of the forty days, a notable biblical female is discussed, starting with Hagar and ending with Priscilla.Each day the authors discusses the women in terms of their significance and the biblical scripture in which they are referenced.
