I got tired of hauling my big study Bible around and sought a more compact, easier-to-throw-in-a-bag Bible. It also had to have print that was easy to read. This fit the bill. The size is perfect for carrying but also has enough heft to hold comfortably in my hand. I only read the ESV now, and find it the easiest and most comprehensible to read without losing much of the translation. The embossed cover is pretty and unusual also. I would have preferred a leather cover, but of course that would have impacted the price as well. I’m happy with it overall.

I won't bother to testify to why I love the ESV version but if it is not the ESV it is the King James or the Holman (HCSB) Bible versions I choose to use. I am a Hebrew and Greek student and find these translations as good as it gets.This Bible is well made and very sturdy. The large print isn't as large as other "large print" Bibles I have but it is large enough that I can read it without my magnifier. I write all over the pages in ink and highlight my Bibles with with Bic Bright Liners and they grow with my as my foundation grows so I have gone through 4 of these exact Bibles so far - it's my all time favorite. They highlight well with little bleed through if at all. The binding is strong and holds up to a rigorous daily life of falls and grabbing the book by the cover as it slips off my lap, no coffee cup rings even after many cups being set on the cover when desk space is low, bending the pages wide open to write inside the binding margines and I use stick on Bible tabs and the pages hold up well to flipping through the tabs without tearing. For the price of this book you are getting an awesome deal and if you don't need large print as most people don't... then the normal print is just unbelieveable for the price. There are enough blank pages at the front and the back for writing yourself inspirational notes or praises too. The end of the book has responsive readings for fellowship on demand. NO maps or concordance but there is one page of weights and mearsures that has been helpful many times during studies. When I need a new one, I always buy a few more and take them along to give away to any and all who ask me about Jesus. If you want a case then Bibles by the Case is the best price for bulk but individually Bolo is best.

I’ve been looking for a smaller bible to take to church instead of my study bible. And this bible is perfect.I’d say the pages are thin and a bit see through, but I am not picky and it doesn’t bother me, it’s like a regular bible.The color is a beautiful dark raspberry color, with a beautiful design in the front.

I love this Bible. It is true to color and beautiful. The cover feels soft and is flexible, not plastic-like or stiff-feeling. However, I don't think I was actually sent a Large Print version of it. I don't mind and didn't personally need the text to be large. I purchased this as part of a gift for a church ladies' Christmas party gift exchange. I liked it so much that I got my own gift! If it had been taken by someone else such as an elder lady, it might have been an issue that this wasn't, in fact, very large print. I no longer have the box this came in, so I can't double check, but either this is not the large print version OR it is just not very large print compared to others also advertised as such. I haven't been highlighting or writing in this Bible yet so far, but the pages look and feel thick enough to handle it if a Bible highlighter were used. Overall, this Bible is my daily reader and very loved.

Just what I was looking for. I am able to read and see the words. Only complaint is I am not able to add tabs to the pages without being on the words.

Delivered fast and packed nicely.Love the colour. The font size is perfect for reading. There is a bit weight on it but still good if you plan to use it outside. God bless you!
Beautiful Bible, perfect gift
Beautiful Bible, perfect gift.The text is very easy to read and it is accessible to anyone. The presentation is beautiful and encourages one to read more. Great way to gift Gods word, whether to a friend/family, a stranger, of yourself. 10/10
Well made and easy to read bible
This book has a format of two columns on each page which I think most bible readers will be used to. Binding and printing are to a good standard. The book size has been criticised elsewhere but it is a standard USA size which I find very comfortable to handle. Most importantly the paper used in this edition is not the thinnest and so the pages do not drag downwards as is the case of many large books. To give a practical example when I held the bible open at John the left hand side of the book moved downwards only a little. Those of us who hand hold the book to read will appreciate just how good that is! As a comparison I have the CEV version and the pages are much thinner and are very prone to slip. So it is a very nice book to read at the practical level. Footnotes and other essential cross references are kept to small print at the bottom of the page so that they do not interfere with continuous reading. I find this a very good translation although to enlarge on meanings I refer to other versions on occasion and it might be dishonest not to admit that. On the whole though it is a good reading version, but I am still not sure that it is 'better' than the Revised English, which I consider is still very undervalued. Nevertheless it is still my 'pick' of the large print bibles of which there are not that many really. One final note is that the text is clear and large of course but the font has 'tall upright character' which I am now settling down to but which I had not seen before. The easy to read properties of this bible are probably going to make it my favourite book.
