1.0 out of 5 stars Unusable. Random special characters inserted through the entire text
This is unacceptable for a reputable publisher to produce a piece of garbage like this. The text is almost forgivable for being as woke as it is. But the first 8 chapters have weird characters before, in the middle of, and after words. The reference page count is 100 pages which makes me wonder if they author actually wrote anything genuine and original in this text as there 100 pages of authors after authors referenced in the material. But to publish unreadable trash where one must be a hieroglyphics major to decipher the author's writing is UNACCEPTABLE and makes me have no faith in the author.
2.0 out of 5 stars “New” but has more damage than I have time to list
As you can tell from the photos there are many pages with weird marks on them. While that has not hindered my study yet, it’s frustrating to pay so much for a looseleaf book that comes damaged.
3.0 out of 5 stars Fine as far as textbooks go
The textbook itself is fine. It came in excellent condition and was exactly what I expected. My main complaint is the accompanying online platform. I effing hate the “intuitive learning” BS that publishers have latched onto, but this one is particularly bad. I’d honestly recommend not taking a professor’s class if they use this text with the accompanying platform. Avoid. Like. The. Plague.
1.0 out of 5 stars Missing online access code
Product was delayed several days, then when it arrived the code for online access was missing. I am unable to access parts of the book that I need for class...
2.0 out of 5 stars Great Book! BEWARE!! Does not bring access code
This is a great buy if you only need the book!!I was under the impression I was getting a new book that included access code as new books of McGraw Hill should, (I paid more than my university bookstore), it came shrink wrapped with a “rental book” flyer on it. While the book is in like new condition, & I’m very satisfied with it, I did not get an access code with it for the quizzes and interactive studying, leaving me to buy the access code separately costing me more $$ Unfortunately, I purchased book ahead of time for the class and was not able to meet refund deadline, by the time I realized my professor was using all the online quizzes as assignments.
3.0 out of 5 stars Weird symbols and typos on Kindle for PC version.
Update 02/04/23: I noticed that the weird symbols only happen in the Kindle for PC version. If I read the book on my phone or through the web, it's fine. All the quotation marks, apostrophes, and dashes are weird symbols. There are also a lot of typos.
1.0 out of 5 stars Purchased the kindle version.
The text is unreadable. It has random characters in the middle of sentences. I would love to read the book, but it’s impossible.
