This is an outstandingly good work, but anyone thinking of buying/renting it should be aware that this is contemporary academic Political Science (caps intended!). Its audience is primarily other political scientists, other social scientists, and academics/public intellectuals with a strong, advanced interest in American politics. Though there are definitely passages and sections where Prof. Noel shows that he could, if he wished, write for a wider audience, this book is really not for the general reader.

The book is used, but in fantastic condition. It did take almost two weeks to get to me, but the Christmas and New Year's holidays occurred in that time period.
