But I lost the VHS that came with it. I used this DVD to get the skits/videos from. Seems a bit dated, but the info is not. Good stuff.

I purchased two books at the time. I received the other book but not this one. I would appreciate it if I get feedback with a status of the purchase and when I will receive the book. I heard that it helped people who used it and I definitely need it to set up my finances in 2012.

There is so much secrecy around money in our culture. This 6 week course invites participants to examine their earning, giving and saving habits. Good Sense offers concrete suggestions so that one can begin to understand the power of money in life and move toward using money in ways that align with personal goals. Good tools included in workbook around budgets and understanding one's own personal money motivation.

My Two Cents...
If you are looking to teach a Sunday School class or small group, or even a weekend/weekday seminar about budgeting, this is a great tool.Take a few minutes to read through the leaders guide and you will be completely equipped to teach such a class to any number of people in just about any format you desire. There are six sessions that must be taught in sequence. However, you can do this as a one day seminar, two 3 1/2 hour seminars, or even six 50 minute sessions. I personally taught this in the last format for a Sunday School class to adults and it works wonderfully. If you are a shy teacher, that's okay, because they literally give you everything you need to say so you can even read the classes straight out of the leaders guide (although this would make it more difficult on the students).Good Sense does a great job of helping people prioritize financial goals, develop a personalized spending plan, take actions to reduce expenses and reduce debt. This budget has helped guide my wife and I through our financial decisions now for just over 4 years and while we might need to brush up from time to time, we know that this course has helped us keep out of unnecessary debt and even start saving for our kids futures.
