I read a little of this every morning to my kids (9 & 5), they love it! It has nice bright pictures, good information on each page! They look forward to breakfast so I will read it to them. Would recommend!My 9 year old can read this on his own, my 5 year old can read some but needs help with bigger words. That’s why I read it to them. They enjoy it!

Pictures are amazing. It’s the best if the series. This and the one with geology in it could teach everything a kid needs to pass Earth Science. In school.

I read this book every night with my 8 year old. I LOVE this series, but I loved space and ocean more. It may just be my preference, so I still have 5 stars. My son and I are going through every book in the series, and he (and I!) love it. I got National Geographic too, and that didn’t stand a chance against this series. Great photos, easy to read and understand. Chef’s kiss.

Beautifully presented hardback book
Very well presented hardback full of lots of information, however, not much detail in any of the descriptions, and the illustrations have a watercolour look to them because the paper has a semi matt finish. It is a shame because the subject matter really lends itself to full colour treatment and a more detailed text would make this a real classic.
