Oona’s life as she knew it ended when her husband of twenty-five years announces he’s in love with a man and is leaving. They had planned to celebrate their twenty-fifth anniversary with a trip to France and had rented a charming house. Oona decided to go ahead to France since she had paid the rent in advance and couldn’t get it back, and she arranged for her two children to join her. Then Covid-19 hit, she lost her job and had no reason to return to New York immediately, plus traveling back to the States was not safe. She is pretty much isolated until she meets Ashley, a famous actor, with whom she develops a strong friendship…that develops into more. It’s a great story!

In Danielle Steel's "Never Say Never", Oona Kelly Webster's life seems so perfect that it's practically begging for a plot twist. And boy, does it get one!Her husband of twenty-five years decides he's had enough marital bliss and trades her in for a younger male model. Oona is devastated by her husband's revelation, and soon, she jets off to France for an extended holiday that was originally planned for both her and her husband.The French countryside is charming, the food is divine, and then, the pandemic hits. Trapped in France, Oona's life throws her another curve ball and then, a beacon. Suddenly there's light at the end of the tunnel. But only if she can allow herself to take the leap."Never Say Never" is a delightful mix of heartbreak, humor, and second chances. Oona's journey is relatable, even if your own life hasn't involved being stranded in France during a pandemic (fingers crossed). I've been a fan of Danielle Steel's writing for as long as I can remember. It's like a warm blanket, comforting and familiar. Sure, the plot might be a tad predictable, but sometimes you just want a feel-good story with a happy ending and this one delivers.

Terrible to see a book that any good author can write -- I have read every book Danielle Steel ever written & she is not writing the unbelievable gripping & terrific book that she is has done in the majority of her books. This with no doubt was a ghost writer.

I was gripped from the very beginning of this book. Another masterpiece from Danielle Steel. She brought to life the struts of a marriage on the brink of collapse and how the characters dealt with it. Her descriptions, as usual are on point. I do t know how she comes up with story lines for her books, but I'm glad she does. Into her next novel.
