We use lots of different workbooks. This workbook has lots of meaty learning. We also used lots of markers to make it fun and colorful. She now has the 2nd Grade Edition of this workbook. My Girl is reading and great at math. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

We love to use these Scholastic books as a supplement to our kiddos' other educational resources. We actually have them try to complete as much as they can for their current grade level over the summer after, to help reinforce the things they've learned throughout the school year. My first grader has even said much of it is fun to do. Thank you Scholastic for these books!

I buy these each summer for my kids to get a head start on the next year, I love them! Many different sections covering all subjects not just math and reading, mini tests to check progress, stickers, fun work pages in each section, and my kids love doing them. Definitely helps them get a head start. Best brand I’ve used.

I purchased this book to work with my recently graduated Kindergartener over the summer. We worked on several pages a day in addition to reading. It covered a lot of great skills and my 6 year old enjoyed it. I think it helped her keep up her skills so that she is ready for 1st grade. (There were a few skills she had not covered yet, but we made it work).

I bought this book for my first grader who is heading to second grade. I wanted to make sure that he had a good grasp on the the concepts covered in first grade especially since the schools closed due to COVID19. This book has a wide range of activities. The activities gradually get more complex in each section. There is a good mix of easy and difficult activities. The book begins with handwriting practice and end with measuring. I gave this book 4 stars because at the end it has a getting ready for second grade section. I can appreciate this section but this section includes multiplication. This section does not start with easy multiplication but the 9 multiplication facts. I think there should be an easier introduction to multiplication facts. Also, some of the activities in this book may be too difficult for a first grader especially adding the perimeter of each shape with 3 digit numbers. This book would be excellent for an advanced student.

I looked at SEVERAL books as well as asked for friends opinions on what they use and like. I ended up stumbling across this one and LOVE IT! My daughter is in kindergarten and I wanted something to help her out as she's on the younger end of all the kids. This book is just perfect! Challanging enough but fun. The variety in it is great as well. Would definitely again!

My daughter loves this workbook! 20 minutes after we got it she wanted to start on it immediately. She finished the first two pages and immediately wanted to do more. The stickers are a great motivator and the pages are colorful and easily understood. We highly recommends!
