The set comes with a really fun booklet full of ideas. The selection of clay is generous, but the pots are small, with plenty of bright and vibrant colours to work with. Each tub is sealed with a film under the lid, which helps slow down drying, though they’re not fully airtight, so the clay won’t stay fresh forever once opened.The clay itself has a nice texture, soft enough to shape, sticks together well, but doesn’t cling to your hands (just don’t drop it on carpet!). It dries evenly without shrinking or cracking, which is functionally great.My only disappointment is that there aren’t more tubs of white and black included, since those shades are so useful for mixing and detail work.Overall, it’s a well-stocked, creative set and good value!

This is an excellent set. It’s well presented on the outside, on the inside it’s perhaps a bit disordered, but it’s absolutely packed with pots of coloured clay.Each pot is individually sealed with a sheet of film. While the pots also have individual lids, don’t count on the keeping the clay fresh for very long – they’ll slow down the drying-out process a bit, but they’re not actually airtight.The colours are a great selection of vibrant shades, perfect for colourful characters or bright scenes. The texture of the clay was just fine - it sticks to itself but not to your hands (but keep it out of the carpet!). It dried fine without shrinking noticeably or cracking. What’s not to love?Over all, I’m very happy with this set. I think it’s excellent value and I’m happy to recommend it.

This is a set of 64 colours of modelling clay.The clay is nicely soft and is easy to model. It is stored in small plastic pots, so that some clay can be removed and the unused parts resealed for later use. Three cheap plastic tools are provided to assist in carving shapes.Also provided is a good introductory manual with a few tutorial shapes to get you going.The children have had an initial few minutes of play, but the main design session will be tomorrow. They are truly excited and looking forward to it. My wife is the artist in the family and will be supervising.The clay from that taster session still hasn't dried yet but I can feel the first bits of solidification already. I will update the review if there are any issues of note following the up-coming session.Update -Since my initial review, we have made a 'an island with trees and dinosaurs', a car on the road, and a rainbow. All were suitably artistic and colourful. I guess we have used up just under half of the clay pots now.The clay is not the hard heavy clay I am familiar with. It is much lighter, and remains kind of spongy and slightly soft when dry, but does also maintain its shape when dry. Just make sure that you join different colours together securely when wet, since once dry it is difficult to achieve a join if the pieces fall apart. I needed to use real glue to fix some bits which fell apart during later play.PS: This is air-dry clay. You won't need to bake it in the oven to make it harden properly.

Really disappointed. Thought the clay would be good as it comes in individual pots meaning it won't dry out like some of the others but as my son is modelling they are just melting! Waste of time making anything

This is a really good and fun clay set to use. The texture is very light and soft which makes it easy to work with for both kids and adults. You can make some really nice pieces with it and it dries quite well without cracking too much.The only downside is that while you get 64 colors, the quantity of each color is very small. It would be better to have fewer colors but in larger amounts so you can make bigger creations without running out so quickly.Overall though, it’s a great creative kit and enjoyable to use for all ages.

This is a great amount of clay pots for a great price!There are so many colours, a little booklet for ideas and some modelling tools.My box came all messed up inside so needed a quick shuffle but otherwise all pots intact. Each has its own little seal on the pot as well as a lid to keep it from drying out.My little one found this really easy to use!
