    I have chestnut coloured (long) hair which is edging towards noticeable grey so I thought it might be fun to try this. As it's black though I thought it would be best to test on a small section of hair and if needed, I could just trim it off.Following the instructions to the letter and being super careful about wearing gloves etc (I used my own as I the ones supplied are a bit loose), I applied this to a small end section of my hair. If you want really dark hair, this will do it and I was impressed at how well it worked but also glad that I didn't use it on my entire head as it would have been far too dark and very noticeable. I believe the colour is only semi permanent so you would have to keep using it to maintain, but it's a big bottle and would certainly give a good few colourings.I do have some concerns about the provenance. There are a lot of very similar looking bottles with very similar branding available and it would be easy to mistake one for another. Obviously this raises questions in terms of quality so proceed with caution, definitely do the patch test!
