I wasn’t sure what to expect with a Heated Shiatsu Foot Massager, but I got a box of tricks that tickle my feet a treat.It’s simplicity itself to set up, just plug in and go. No faffing about making connections with wifi or charging up batteries.It’s reasonably quiet when in use but you can hear a whirring sound, so far from silent but not obtrusively loud either.It’s a smart looking piece of equipment and one that will easily be stored and not take up loads of cupboard space.I’ve been trying it for a few days now. I play lawn bowls every day, for several hours at a time, so I’m on my feet a great deal and they do ache badly each evening.It definitely massages and soothes them when I’ve used it for roughly 10/15 minutes each evening, and my feet do feel better for using the machine.However, I’m disappointed with the heating aspect of the machine as it doesn’t get hotter than a tepid heat.I expected to feel some real warmth coming through the massager, but it didn’t deliver on enough heat for my liking.So I’d have liked an improvement on that important selling point.With regard to being value for money I think it’s a fair price to pay for a Shiatsu experience on your feet, which will hopefully leave them feeling soothed, relaxed and raring to go!

This is a good size feet massager that has plenty of room even for my size 11 feet. It is easy to operate with 1 x power button and 1 x heat button, which respond well and are easy enough to reach for me when sitting. I am still surprised a remote wasn’t included as those with limited mobility will struggle to reach down and press.In terms of performance it does a good job of massaging and feels nice, although it isn’t any replacement for a proper one by hands especially for the inner parts of the feet where it lacks power (my partner still gets me to do hers for her after using this which says it all). I disagree with the advertised 'super quiet' claim, as it is certainly audible, though not overly so. On top of this is has heating (2 levels) which is definitely noticeable even on level 1 and a nice addition.Quality wise it feels well-made and sturdy to use even on a hard floor. I like the addition of the raisers on the back to give it an angled platform and how easy it is to store away after use with its compact design. For what it offers the RRP is a touch on the high side for me, however, the current discounts available bring it nicely in line with what I would expect it to be and represents fair value for money.Recommended overall.

This review is for the HoMedics Shiatsu Deluxe Foot Massager with Heat. I received this product with high expectations, but they quickly fell flat once I started using it.The device is reasonably compact for what it offers, making it easy to store when not in use. Fortunately, it’s not noisy during operation. You can still hear the motor, but at least it’s not too loud.The machine is very user-friendly. It has just two buttons, so it’s intuitive to operate even without reading the instruction manual. That said, it’s worth reading the manual. For example, it advises not to use the machine for more than 15 minutes at a time, likely to prevent the motor from overheating. In fact, after a 15-minute session, I noticed a distinct smell coming from the device. I wouldn’t call it a burning smell, but it may suggest the motor is reaching its physical limit. The manual also recommends avoiding use at night before bed, as the massage could overstimulate you and affect your sleep (noted). Additionally, it advises wearing socks while using the massager, presumably for hygiene reasons, since the top is covered with fabric that may be difficult to clean.Personally, I’m not impressed by this foot massager. The three massage rotator points don’t seem to deliver equal intensity. The massage feels weak near the top of the feet, whereas the middle and bottom sections provide a richer, stronger sensation. The manual suggests adjusting the pressure of your feet to influence the massage strength, but I don’t believe that’s the issue. I suspect the central rotator is positioned higher than the others, making it difficult to properly align the top of the feet with the massager’s upper section. When I try to do so, my heels tend to separate a bit from the rotator and the massage loses intensity.Another less impressive feature is the heating function. It doesn’t feel very strong. You can sense some warmth, but not much. Perhaps this is another issue related to expectations management.For a foot massager priced above £60 at the time of receiving it, I expected better performance.
