5.0 out of 5 stars 🎧 BUGANI Open Wireless Earbuds – Budget-Friendly, Functional, and Ideal for Sports
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } These BUGANI open-ear wireless earbuds are designed for comfort and situational awareness, making them perfect for workouts, running, and cycling. With a lightweight fit, solid battery life, and stable Bluetooth connectivity, they deliver reliable performance at a budget-friendly price of just £17. While bass and noise isolation are naturally limited due to the open-ear design, that’s an expected trade-off rather than a flaw.🛠 Build & Comfort✔️ Ergonomic open-ear design ensures a secure fit, making them great for movement-heavy activities.✔️ Lightweight yet stable, staying firmly in place even during intense workouts.✔️ IPX5 water resistance protects against sweat and rain, making them ideal for outdoor sports. However…❌ Case lid feels plasticky, but at this price point, it’s not a deal-breaker.📡 Connectivity & Controls✔️ Bluetooth 5.4 offers strong connectivity, with no noticeable dropouts during use.✔️ Pairs quickly and easily with devices, making setup hassle-free.But…❌ Touch controls require precision—double and triple taps sometimes misregister.❌ No noise cancellation, though this is expected with open-ear designs.🔊 Sound Quality – Balanced for Open-Ear Listening✔️ Clear mids and highs, making speech-based content (podcasts, calls) easy to hear.✔️ Volume levels are decent, ensuring audibility in various environments. However…❌ Bass is naturally weaker—but this is expected with open-ear designs, which don’t seal sound like in-ear earbuds.❌ High volumes can cause minor distortion, but for casual listening, it performs fine.🔋 Battery Life – Solid for the Price✔️ 6 hours per charge, 30 hours with case—delivering long-lasting use before needing a recharge.✔️ USB-C charging is fast and convenient, taking just 1-2 hours to fully charge.🔧 What Could Be Improved?❌ Touch control inconsistencies can be annoying, but are typical at this price range.❌ Plastic build quality isn’t premium, but it’s in line with the budget cost.✅ Final Verdict – A Great Budget Choice for Active Users✔️ Comfortable and secure for workouts.✔️ Reliable Bluetooth connection.✔️ Decent battery life for long sessions.✔️ Water-resistant for outdoor use.❌ Bass is limited due to the open-ear design—but that’s expected.❌ Touch controls require some learning curve.👉 A well-priced choice for active users who want situational awareness while listening to music—just don’t expect deep bass or noise isolation from an open-ear design. 🎧✨
5.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable, decent sound, low price...
These seem to me to be great value when weighing the price, fit and performance... bearing in mind what you could spend. They grip well, and what I particularly like is the open ear design means you remain conscious of what's going on around you making them perfectly suitable for walking, jogging or cycling.Unless you use the playback device itself the on-board controls can be a bit fiddly requiring tapping to adjust, but that seems to be a common handicap with all these devices given their size; with practice it becomes easier.Sound quality is pretty good by any measure and compares well with my considerably more expensive "ear-cuff" style on-ear 'phones. They're pretty comfortable to wear, easy BT pairing using the latest Bluetooth 5.4, good battery life, nice case, and at this price point these seem to be great value and a worthy buy.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for active use, hold nice and firm to ears, good sound quality, lacks bass due to design
These are a pretty good pair of open ear headphones, designed for active people (ie gym goers, runners etc) or those that just find in-ear buds uncomfortable. They come in quite a nice fancy-looking case that when interacted with, displays the charge levels. The ear buds do look quite luxurious, with a lovely chrome design. They fit over the ears quite nicely, and do feel pretty comfortable to wear.Once paired with my iPhone, they are easy to use via the sensitive yet responsive controls. You do find that you may end up activating something whilst you are trying to adjust them due to their sensitive nature.Sound quality is great - lacks decent bass due to the open-ear design, but at the same time, you have more awareness of your surroundings and can even have normal conversations whilst listing to music at medium volume. That's not to say that bass is completely lacking, as it does have a small bit of kick to it.Would recommend, particularly for active people.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good budget HF's for general users, stayed in place when jogging.
For £15.99 these are not bad and I take that value into account in giving them 4 stars. The case is pocket friendly but you can tell it is built to a budget. The instructions are very poor. The HF's themselves feel good and look OK in my ears. BT was an easy setup and they did not lose the signal at all.I like this type of HF's as I can wear them for longer and these are very comfy.Stereo was good and latency was average for BT, so not for gamers but OK for music/podcasts. Overall the music quality was acceptable at this price, even the bass was good. They stayed in place when jogging and doing floor exercises so are great for the gym, the only downside was when I was near the speakers at the gym there was no noise cancelation at all that I could detect and my podcast was drowned out.I will be using them
1.0 out of 5 stars Keep turning on itself in the charging box
Earbuds are keep turning itself on in the box and keep connecting to your device. There's now way to turn them off,the only way I find out to be working is to each time, after you finish using, you have to unpair it and wait and not touch the box. Once you touch it, headphones turning on..... So ridiculous. Sending back for refund
Very Impressed
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } First impressions after 10 days.Great value for the money. Extremely well made, very solid. Good sound as far as I can tell.I ran various types of music through the speaker and the sound was great, as far as I can tell.To the extent that some elements of the sound are lacking (other comments here), a person can just use the equalizer on their phone or other device to tweak the speaker sound.About the size of a loaf of bread, to give some sense of its size. Extremely well made, based on materials, fit and finish etc.The Bluetooth synchronizes quickly and easily, the controls on the speaker are simple and functional. The handle makes the speaker very portable. There is talk in the other comments about buying a Bose or a JBL speaker, because the sound would be better. The sound might be better but you would have to add a zero on the end of the price tag for this one.Update 103023I have used the speaker on and off for 10 days and the charge has only fallen to about 70%.The Bluetooth syncing ability of the speaker is great and it quickly connects with my phone with little or no effort from me.I carry the speaker with me everywhere in my house and rarely use other methods of listening to my media.Update 112523For me, given my use, which is intermittent, the battery lasts 7 - 10 days before it needs to be recharged. This is a very well designed and made product.Replying to information in some of the other reviews here:- your phone's volume control will OF COURSE allow you to raise or lower the volume on the speaker- the speaker can be used while it's charging. It can't be used when you have run the battery to zero? Of course not but neither can your phone. Allow the speaker to charge for a few minutes and then you can use it while it charges. The instructions apparently say that the speaker shouldn't be used while it is being charged- If you buy 2 speakers, they won't connect to each other but they should both connect to your phone, so that the output from your phone is coming out of both speakers. The speakers aren't synced per se but because the audio is coming out of both speakers from the same source, they should both be playing the same audio simultaneously- the speaker is VERY LOUD and the bass is fine. If you need more volume / bass, use your phone to bump up the volume and the equalizer on your phone to bump up the bass. You can also add an app to your phone that will allow you to push its volume up. You still can't hear it over the machinery at work? Buy some headphones
Battery life could be better but it's definitely LOUD
It's sturdy it's loud but maybe I use it too much the battery life could be better that's my only complaint
I have already bought my second one, they works nice under True Wireless Mode.
I have already bought my second one. I have been unable to use True Wireless Mode before. Finally, when answering other people's questions, after reading the manual carefully, I was finally able to use my mobile phone to perform two-channel connection playback via Bluetooth. And as long as I use Bluetooth can be used to connect, and dual-channel mode does not require Bluetooth Version 5.0 or above.I finally got true wireless mode working. I failed the first time because one of the speakers was connected to my phone via Bluetooth. The correct steps are: 1) Turn on two speakers of the same model and make sure they are not connected to any Bluetooth device. At this time, both speakers flash blue LED lights. 2) Double-click the "arrow and ||" button on one of the speakers. You will hear a "di" sound and it will automatically connect to the second speaker. At this time, only the speaker you double-clicked will flash the blue LED light, and the other speakers will keep the blue LED light. 3) Pair your audio source device via Bluetooth with the speaker flash with blue LED light.
It’s pretty great
We use this item as a shop speaker in an auto shop which can be a fairly loud place, we often find ourselves having to turn the speaker down one volume to hear each other comfortably. Battery lasts the entire work day with zero problems. (Could probably last 2 days maybe even 3)Volume is kind of strange 0-60% volume has almost no change, 61-80% volume is a nice listening volume and then every 5% after gets SIGNIFICANTLY louder.Bluetooth range is massive, I drove a car around the large concrete building and my phone was still connected playing musicSound quality is nice, clean bass.Would recommend 100%
Great speaker for the money
Excellent battery life
